Spent hours trying to fix a leak, but this cheap replacement did the trick in no time. Just wish I brought it earlier :)

Fixed the problem of our leaky toilet.

Perfect fit for the Geberit 109.720.00.1 as the description says. This fixed a leak between the cistern underside and flush pipe leading to the bowl. the old rubber seal had perished and gone hard. We got a plumber to come and try to fix it and he used a non-branded part. Looked almost identical, but it still leaked. He applied 2 entire rolls of plumbers tape on top. It still leaked. He gave up, left and didn't charge us! We did some research, bought this, fitted it ourselves and job done. Problem solved and no tape required. The end of the clip did shatter on us though which was annoying. Otherwise all fine, just a pig to install. Method below:1)Do not use lubricant, it just creates a path for capillary action. You want the rubber to grip the pipe.2) Prize out the existing clip using a flathead screwdriver. Work gently round if you don't want to split the plastic. Doesn't matter if it breaks - this comes with the replacement.3) pull down on the pipe (make sure you have undone any restraint brackets etc first)4) remove old rubber ring.5) slide the new plastic clip down the pipe6) push down the new rubber seal over the pipe (right down the pipe, don't leave it on top) - it sits well above the lip of the cistern moulding so don't push it too far down the pipe)7) get small the end of a toothbrush or something similar rounded, not sharp and with the pipe held up to the top in the cistern socket work around to push the rubber into position8) insert the plastic clip. Go gently It has to clip into the recess inside the socket. This took some effort, but is impossible if you haven't done 7 first. The last bit I resorted to a flathead screwdriver and the end shattered off which was annoying. It's a shame they don't use a less brittle plastic for this clip.That's it. No more leaks, and no plumbers fee. Just a lot of effort getting the thing to install. It is not simple like replacing a screw-on pipe with standard O-ring washer.

Who would have thought a simple fix would fix a massively annoying issue! (Leak from bottom of cistern flush pipe).

The plumber who came to fix my leaking toilet was very pleased I had got the right part. This is for leaks between the cistern and the downpipe which happen when you flush, obviously specific to the Geberit cistern.

Our en suite toilet sprang a leak. I traced it to the flush-feed pipe linking the Gerberit cistern and the toilet bowl. Googling confirmed a weakness at the cistern-end, requiring a new seal. Of corse, these things happen at inconvenient times - noticed on return from work in the evening. So I identified the3 correct part on Amazon, clicked order and it was delivered within 24 hrs. Fitted 24 hrs after ordering. However, being DIY, there was a slight leak after - I hadn't tightened up the cold-feed union enough. But seal was OK. En suite habitants now comfortable.
