It's strong and it works, being resistant to blowing inside-out. It also has a strong spring that makes it hard to close, despite being advertised as 'auto open/close'. The best way to close it is to press the top against the pavement and lean downwards on it. That closes and locks it in position ready for its next use. It works great in stormy conditions.

This umbrella was designed by people who have never experienced rain in their lives. If you want to start the day swearing at an umbrella, this is the product for you. A wind above 5 mph will have it inside out. And the button that triggers the opening mechanism is bold on the handle so that you will definitely press it while trying to grip it. Enjoy.

Get a proper umbrella, this is quirky and fun but the handle is so small it’s uncomfortable and feels like a strong wind will pull it away.

First time buy from Amazon.love the Samsonite windproof umbrella.hate the few small holes in the canopy.thought top quality when ordered but not the case here.as I am new to Amazon I was clueless how to return the item .so kept it instead.hence 3stars but could or should have been 5.if undamaged.
