Pieces fall off easy
This was a reward for my son and he absolutely loves it! We have the T-Rex also but this one the pieces seem to fall off incredibly easy. It has taught my son (4.5) to be careful, pay attention when transforming, and patience when putting pieces back on. He hasn’t put it down for the week we’ve had it!

It's a product that will end up in the landfill in a year
It's incredibly hard for a 5 year old to transform from the dinosaur back into the car. My son loves these switch and go transformers. But from a parents perspective they are cheap and not worth the money. Vtech is a cheap Chinese company that builds products to be thrown away

Nice sounds. 3 year old loves it.

It constantly comes apart
You have to put it together and whenever you move it to transform or try to it comes apart. It’s super frustrating and a waste of money.

Assembly required, pieces fall off
My toddler son loves the switch and go dinos, but these ones that come in the egg are not the same quality. Having to assemble them is just one extra step. Once assembled, the toy no longer fits in the egg which just seems pointless. Because you assemble this yourself, the pieces are not as secure and when switching between forms several of the pieces fall off easily, which is frustrating for a three year old.

The dinos come in pieces! Won't fit back in eggs.
These switch and gos have to be built! Then once they are built they do not fit back in the eggs.☹ The eggs themselves are then just useless extra packaging. My son loves the switch and go line of toys. So he used his birthday money to buy all 4 at once. Well, he also opened all 4 at once making it almost impossible to figure out which pieces went with which build. Also, because it's like a kinder egg prize the pieces come apart when playing. But, not easily enough to put them back in the eggs.My spouses response was "what's the point of the egg?". Exactly! Should have made the dinos a little smaller or the eggs a bit bigger!I should have watched the videos before he bought these, but it never occurred to me they would be in pieces! Also, it doesn't mention the need to build them ANY WHERE on the box!We might be spoiled by the other switch and go dinos. The best part is the others have the ability to change the voices based on the transformed mode. These don't do that! You have to choose which mode by moving the little tiny switch😡Fully disappointed. We were actually able to pull the dino apart and still couldn't fit it back into the egg.

Falls Apart
Agree with all the other reviews that say it falls apart when their kids try and transform the toy. My five year old was recently introduced to the Switch and Go toys and loves them, but don’t buy the hatch ones! You have to assemble them yourself and pieces fall off and they are hard to put back on.

May not have correct parts - open immediately and check!
Purchased for my son's birthday and I found it literally impossible to assemble correctly. Product is fine except it falls apart easily and mine was shipped with 2 left wings instead of 1 right and 1 left.

4 year old loved it!
This toy was a huge hit with my 4 year old nephew, particularly the part that made so many sounds. Very happy with this purchase. My only complaint is that once the toy is assembled, it no longer fits in the egg that the pieces came in. Would be much better if it could still fit.

An upgraded Kinder surprise
Absolutely requires adult assembly and pictographs are not clear. You assemble it and it does not transform easily but what it does do easily is come apart into pieces ….

Awesome
This toy was what my nephew wanted for a long time. The excitement in the emotions expressed was priceless. He assembled to toy without use of the instruction and began playing right away.

Ok build quality but entertaining for the little guy
The triceratops race car comes in approximately 14 pieces inside a plastic egg shell. Assembly is easy but the instruction manual is small, making it a little difficult to understand which piece is which. After assembly, the car converts to a dinosaur fairly quickly. Not immediately obvious is that the switch has three settings – one is off, one for dinosaur, and one for car. In dinosaur mode, if the button is pressed, the dinosaur head lights up and makes roaring sound. When in car mode, the button lights up engine compartment and makes engine sounds. In car mode, the wheels roll easily.Once assembled, the unit will not fit back in the egg.My son likes it, so I’m happy.

Older kids only
This is a pretty fun toy for the older kids in your life who won't put things in their mouth and who like to build. The egg came very secure maybe a little too secure as it can at times be quite difficult to open. Once you have the pieces out the pieces assemble really nice my child love making it from a car to a dinosaur and back and forth. The pieces feel all right it's definitely better than anything similar you could get from say a dollar store and the $15 price tag isn't too unreasonable in my opinion.
