This Brutal World Hardcover – 29 April 2016

This is an truly quality book. Whilst I’ve only had time to read the introduction and have a good flick though, I can say that this is a beautifully put together book. It’s filled cover to cover with lovely moody black and white photos of Brutalist buildings with each having a caption to say what and where it is. The book is well made and is a piece of art in itself really. If you like photography and Brutalist \ concrete architecture then you’ll love this book - I share this interest with the author, along with his music taste which sounds identical to mine. Very pleased with it!

Beautiful book (though mine arrived slight damaged). I'm a huge fan of brutalist architecture and concrete, and this copy has fantastic guillotined covers so it really does practices the stark brutalism it preaches! Interspersed with elegant prose. I'd highly recommend this book.EDITUnfortunately it is full of inane quotations selected principally due to their mentioning concrete etc. A pity.

Gorgeous big book that takes you to faraway places in history and culture. Perfect to inspire you, esp if you're any kind of artist. High quality. Big and heavy like a road of concrete on your coffee table - fab
