We love this stuff in all its forms. I hid one is great for travel. Easy application and no lingering greasy feeling. Primarily used to heal tattoos nicely. Great product! Smells lovely.

I learned of this product back in the early 2000's when vacationing in Hawaii. I thought it was snake oil, but being a teenager and a budding (wannabe surfer) I bought a tin and didn't think too much of it. It was advertised as an "alternative to rash guards when bodyboarding", but that's not what should have been the pitch. The pitch should be this: "THE MOST AMAZING EVERYTHING BALM YOU WILL EVER BUY". I swam competitively for over 15 years, and this is the only thing that has moisturized my skin during 20+ hours of swim practices while at BYU without creating a chemical burn effect most other lotions had. This even did the trick when the pool manager upped the chlorine content over 4 times the standard amount for an entire season. Beyond swimming, I use this for bug bites, dry skin, irritated skin, and most rashes and sunburns. Whatever they put in this does wonders for quite literally any skin irritation. But now, I use it as an amazing sports-lubricant for triathlons and cycling. This stuff worked great for a half ironman I did last year helping eliminate rubbing of the wetsuit during the swim, Chamois-area chafing during the ride through a torrential downpour, and even had enough lasting power to keep me nice and comfy during the half marathon at the end. I don't know why this stuff isn't advertised more, it beats "Bodyglide" hands down in my book. Besides, it's all natural and stuff so even the most "berkley" of folks will appreciate it. Get this stuff and throw away all other creams and salves for dry skin and use it to conquer your next (or first) ironman!

This is a great product. It’s an all natural product for dry skin, chapped lips, bug bites, etc. I bought Surfer Salve in Hawaii in 2019, and have been using it ever since!

Have used this for everything from bug bites to sunburn to a cooking burn and a rash. Worked well for all of them and immediately took out the itch/sting. The smell is strong, but if you are used to the smell of tea tree oil, it's not bad. Good amount for the price and absolutely worth it as a multi purpose salve.

I received a travel-size tin of Surfer’s Salve earlier this year in a nail art subscription box, and as soon as I tried it, I was hooked. First of all, it smells like lavender, one of my favorite fragrances. It’s not a strong or overwhelming scent (I hate strong smells on my face or hands). When I use this salve regularly around my nails, my skin stays moisturized and healthy-looking, and I hardly get any hangnails. The salve also contains tea tree oil, which is supposed to be antiseptic and anti-fungal, so it *may* help prevent fungal infections around the nail. (Lavender e.o. is supposed to have similar properties.) I like that the only animal-derived ingredient is beeswax, and the ingredients are pretty simple. I also use this salve on small cuts and scratches, and find it soothing. I love occasionally used it as a lip balm also (complete lip balm addict, here! :) ), but I find the fragrance a wee bit strong for my lips. I really love this product, and I try to keep a tin close by at all times! The travel size is small enough to easily fit into a pocket or purse, and the larger, 4-ounce tin is great for my nightstand. I was a little worried about the product melting in my pocket in the Florida heat, but that hasn’t been an issue. I guess that is one of the perks of using a product developed in Hawaii! :) (I have also heard that it’s great for sunburn, but I hope that I never need it for that! I will give it a try if I do, though!) Highly recommend this stuff unless you are allergic to any of the ingredients.

I purchased a smaller tin while on Kauai and it saved our vacation. It made a couple of bad sunburns bearable. I was happy to see it available on Amazon and in a larger tin after we got home. Smells so nice and has so many uses. Now we can think of the beautiful island every time its used.

This salve is AMAZING..I usually just use it on my fresh Tatts.(Which heals them faster is used right away).But I started putting the Salve on a mole on my face a few times a day and in about a week I was able to scrape the mole COMPLETELY OFF...NO SCAR...NO IRRITATION.. and I've had the mole for 20 plus years. GONE...Thanks to Surfers Salve

I have a sinus infection and am blowing my nose continually. I apply Surfer's Salve to the exterior of my nose to reduce the pain caused by the abrasiveness of the tissues on my nose. I keeps the area softer and less painful. I find it very effective.
