These are so handy, small enough to carry in trousers or jacket, very sturdy, good grip, very easy to use

Had to put a new fence in after winds took it down (rotten posts). Fence is a fabric privacy screening with eyelets for galvanised wire and secured to a fence post every 6 feet. Very glad I bought this as it helped to tension wire ( placed a u shape pin over wire and hammered in slightly then with one hand use the tool to tension the wire while hammering pin in to secure. Cutting worked great on the wire and was effortless. Used it to also cut some old chicken wire and that was more difficult (have to line up the wire within the notches and the handles have to be opened to a certain point to allow for a wire to be placed in). The product did what it was meant to and was worth buying.

Brilliant tool for fencing. Solid, good size, not too heavy, very practical. Is particularly good for removing the U-nail things that are used to nail in fencing to the posts. The only reason I have given it 4 stars is because I found it very difficult to cut the top and lower fencing wires with it. Its ok for the slightly thinner gauge wires. Based on the spec, I'd expected it to be able to cut the slightly thicker top / lower wires. I'm now going to have to purchase some purpose-designed wire cutters too, so extra expense. That said, for everything else it's fab.

This is a solidly made tool from a reliable brand and it proved very useful when installing some small runs of barbed wire. It can be used as a hammer for staples, for extracting old staples and to cut the wire via the side cutters although for heavy duty wire I'd recommend some separate cutters. It is also possible to stretch the wire reasonably for smaller jobs although a more professional stretcher would be needed for longer runs I feel. Given the price, an excellent purchase.

This type of tool is the must have for fencing - many on the market but this one is both strong and reasonably priced. Have used it a lot and it is still "hanging in there" almost as good as when I bought it - recommended.
