SHIELDON Classic Leather Case for iPhone SE/5s/5

This is an excellent real leather wallet style case for an iPhone SE, 5, 5S & 5C (all will fit) and really protects my iPhone SE and it looks good too.The only weakness is that there isn't a small slot hole at the speaker point (front cover)to enable you to listen to a caller when making/receiving phone calls with the cover shut. Although it does fully open folding right back for convenience.It's well made and feels great personally I prefer this to the type that you have a magnetic strap.It's also possible to store 3 credit/debit cards and some cash in notes. I'd certainly recommend this and I wouldn't mind buying another.Just to add I paid full price without discount or promotion and this is an honest straight forward review as I've experienced.Update, I have now bought a second Shieldon iPhone SE case/wallet and this is just as excellent.Update:- the plastic phone holder tends to break after a few months, (hence the loss of 1 star for this) otherwise excellent. However all the new wallet/cases have modified plastic phone holders although only 2 credit/debit card slots (where they used to have 3) and they are now double the price!

The case comes in a nice hard cardboard box and is nicely presented. The case itself is very well made from real leather and looks really neat.What attracted me to the case was that it did not have a flap type clasp to hold the cover, but relied on a magnet to hold the cover to the rest of the case. This does work, but the magnet is not very strong, but it does hold it, just. The actual phone clips into the hard plastic shell inside the case and it fits perfectly and feels very secure (it will not fall out) with the cutouts for on/off, volume and camera lens all positioned perfectly.The cover can hold up to 3 cards (but it is a bit tight to get them in, and it also has an area underneath where the cards are to store other bits like notes etc.My only gripe is that it is a bit on the thick side and you do feel this when the phone is in your pocket, but this hopefully means that the phone is well protected in case you drop it.Overall, i'm really happy. The leather is of lovely quality and the case looks very smart and well made. I just hope it lasts. I'd recommend it to anyone why is looking for a genuine leather case.

Great product, really nice finish. Credit cards fit is snug, and prefer it that way. Sure this will become a bit more loose eventually. Magnetic closing could be a bit tighter but is completely acceptable. After using it for a while it turns out the sides of the card holder comes undone. This could be reinforced in my opinion. Box and wrapping is classy which is a nice touch. Recommended.

It is such a shame. This is a lovely looking case, great quality, I was really impressed. But it just does not allow my iPhone 5s to work properly. When the phone is in the case and you take a call the touch screen remains live and if you hold the phone close to your ear you can press and activate the app icons. I have come off a call and was surprised what I gad managed to do just by hold the phone to my ear !, I think the case blocks off the sensor which freezes the touch screen when taking a call, appraently some cases can do this. When my phone is out of the case it works perfectly.So very disappointed I won't be using this case, I should have purchased a cheap one !!

If you are looking for a flip case I definitely recommend this case for iPhone 5s users. Unlike other flip cases on the market, it provides great protection for your phone as well as sophistication due to its leather aesthetic that will last a life time and I preferred these cases because it has a magnetic seal rather than a clip to close the case, which is strong enough to keep the case closed. When you insert your phone inside of the case, it fits perfectly and securely even when the case folds so that watching videos landscape is much easier! I also love that the quick access of important cards can be ready at hand seeing as in this century, we always have our phones on us.It also makes a great long-lasting present to give away due to its efficiency!

I have updated my original review (below) based on performance after just under 12 months every day but not hard usage. The leather case still looks good and the phone is undamaged so overall it has worked well. However the plastic frame has begun to degrade at the edges (not through dropping) with small bits of it flaking away leaving the corners somewhat exposed. This wasn't a cheap case so this is disappointing as I would need now to replace it if i was not upgrading to an iphone x. I fear I will look elsewhere for something more likely to remain robust for the new phone.***************A quality product made with proper leather. This is so much better than any of the cheap manmade 'leather' cases I have had in the past and which do not last more than a few months. The leather colour is also excellent and projects quality.It fits the iPhone 5 perfectly and leaves plenty of space around all the inputs / buttons. Easy to get a chunky jack plug to fit.Nice touch is the ability of the front cover to fold back and be held in place by a magnet when making calls. Not a face flapper like some I have had!

Several months - wearing well, blacking up a bit with grime - as expected. A good leather case that is durable and functional. Just accept it is not a flush fit close even with cards inside. But it does stay shut and the magnetic closure is perfect. It feels nice in the hand. Doesn't look cheap, good quality. Only snag is you can't really use it as a stand even though it technically folds to be able to. Needs a little bump or strip or something to stop it sliding away when trying to use as a landscape stand for the phone if u want to watch YouTube etc. I would buy again, however!
