VERY GOOD FOR PRICE!
These headphones are seriously a brilliant pair for the price that they are...There are other options on Amazon that compare, and after having three pairs of House of Marley preceding these, which were of a very similar sound quality to these, I decided to try something less branded and different. The reason was that my House of Marley Smile earphones (similar to these), had all ended up braking or with a fault. One pair, an earphone got smacked against something and from then the sound gradually faded to mute.Another pair, the wire somehow mucked up somewhere along the line and one earphone cut out again. The last pair, the wire got caught on an arm rest on a train and was tugged, instantly muting them forever.I have had this pair for almost 3 months so far and have had no problems at all with them. The ear-buds come in three different sizes for different size ear-holes.They are relatively noise-isolating.. never had anyone tell me they can hear my music through them, and they do a really great job of blocking out irritating loud people shouting on the bus... play a song at medium-high volume and they're totally drowned out!The wire seems to be quite good, it's not one of the ones where you can hear it scratching against cloth which is good!My criticism might be that they are potentially a tiny bit too bass-y sometimes... but that beats tinny any day of the week.Generally these are a great pair of earphones, better than any standard apple earphones. You're not going to get quite the quality of £100 sennheiser's... but you're also not going to find anything significantly better than this for this price..These are a seriously good option for a teenager who gets the school bus every morning with loud children, but wants to listen to their music in good quality and noise-isolation.

Excellent value
Bought these when my old Sennheiser CX-300 II earphones got caught in my bike gears and destroyed... and so far they've been very good for the money. They come with a selection of ear-buds in 3 sizes and 2 different colours, a clip to attach the cable to your clothes, plus a small fabric bag with drawstring to keep everything stored together. It all seems to be very high quality. The cable is wound in a sort of durable fabric rather than plastic or rubber, which is a nice touch that seems to make them less likely to get tangled inside a pocket. The microphone is attached to the left earbud cable and seems to be true plug-and-play on my android phone, and with no problems with clarity when speaking. Where the cable splits for each ear the length is the same (unlike my CX-300s, on which the right bud cable was longer). I think the fact that they're made of wood does not necessarily improve the quality of sound - this sounds like a gimmick to me. However, this aside, they do LOOK nice and unique. As for how they sound... well I was immediately put off when I plugged them in and listened to some music using the same settings as with my old earphones. They were far too heavy on the bass and a little tinny in the high registers - very unclear/muddy. However, fiddling with the EQ in my music player went a very long way to sorting this out, and whilst they still lack the balance of many much more expensive 'phones it turns out they're actually extremely high quality for the price. I was very presently surprised here. They also do a good job when it comes to noise isolation, meaning you can use them even in quite loud environments and still get away with listening to quiet music.I'm very happy for the money I paid, in all. They're pretty much exactly what I was after - a great pair of value earphones.

Very good at the price point
I bought these headphones along with 4 other types, since the headphones I used to use have gone out of production and my last pair recently failed. I tested these against 3 other headphones at a similar price and a pair of Soundmagic E10 headphones about twice what these cost. I use a pair of Beyerdynamic DT770 Pros for my listening at home, so these are purely for work and travel/transport, and I never buy very expensive headphones for this use as I invariably break them rather quickly due to using them without great care.Sound: The sound is... different. The wood in the construction makes a difference and I agree with other reviews that mention they're a bit more open sounding than a lot of other in-ear headphones. The sound profile isn't necessarily well-balanced, with a lot of bass. I tweaked the sound with the EQ to give a bit more treble and I then found the headphones to be very enjoyable to listen to, although they will never be "neutral" in their sound. The sound for sure isn't as good as the Soundmagic E10s that I ordered, but were a lot better than the Phillips and Sony headphones I ordered that were at the same price point. The sound level is pretty loud in these and a lot louder than the Soundmagic E10s.Build quality and design: These headphones are absolutely beautiful. These are the only in-ear headphones that I've ever had people ask where I bought and what they were called, simply due to the design. The weak points at the plug and at the attachment from wire to the headphones themselves are reinforced in a convincing manner, and especially the angled and reinforced plug seems very well able to withstand the rough treatment I will give these headphones. The woven wire is nice, but does lead to a lot of noise when moving around. I can't use these for running as they aren't fastened enough into the ear canal and the movement leads to excessive noise, but the fit leads to a higher comfort level in all other uses. Conclusion: Initially I was gonna give a 4-star review due to the sound not being well-balanced, but considering the low price (16 pounds) these are a steal, considering the very good design and very serviceable sound quality. There's better sound quality to be had for a little more for sure, but at this price point I'd recommend these without reservations.
