Great product, I read lots of reviews prior to buying and am not disappointed. Easy to install, it is large, but not too heavy. I have to apply a little pressure on the lid with watercolour images, if the paper is a little buckled, but overall very impressed.

Someone asked if this scanner was good for scanning LP covers. I replied, as did others, that it isn't quite big enough for a an LP cover - just a few millimetres too short. I scanned one cover twice showing the difference from either side at 300dpi. You can stitch the images together easily using an app (I use Photostitcher) and it was my intention to also show the stitched image but for some reason Amazon won't let me upload it. I've had this scanner a few months now and think it's good value for money. I've been using it to scan black and white comic artwork and old comics.

I am a illustrator so I was looking for an A3 printer on a budget price. It took me a while to figure out how to scan the picture in. I work mainly in watercolours and after a while of tweaking the settings I managed to match the scan to almost near to my original then I tweak it a bit more in photoshop. So the colours are a bit tricky to match the original.It is great for a budget scanner and it does the job.

Every single picture I have scanned has banding running down the entire image. If you want a scanner for commercial and artistic purposes, this is not the one. It's only been trouble and made things much harder for me.

One happy uni student. It arrived earlier than expected which was wonderful. After reading reviews saying we might need tech support on installing, we didn’t. Works well and easy to use. Useful advice if you are using a thinner grade paper which you use for technical drawing, you might want to add an extra sheet of thicker paper or card so the block out the black cover when scanning, it just gives a clearer image and saves time on editing.

I ordered this for an intermittent job. The first time I used it to scan a couple hundred sheets, and the images turned out great. They needed a bit of post-production (mainly contrast boost), but were clean and crystal clear. That job done, the scanner went back into its box and sat untouched in a clean, dry, dark storage room for two months. Then it was pulled back out for another job. Now, the images all have a faint pattern of wide pale grey lines in the white space that makes them completely unusable.Googling this problem, people suggest that the lines might be caused by dust or contamination on the scanning lens. But how could dust or contaminants build up when the scanner worked perfectly fine last time, and subsequently sat untouched and protected in its own box, in a clean, dry, dark storage room that hadn't even been opened in the meantime? So the source of the problem is unclear, but the return window has closed and the scanner has now become waste of money and space. (I would have given it a four or five star review if it had continued to function as it had initially.)

I give one more star to the technical support who walkedme to use it patiently. No matter how stupid my problem was yesterday , hestill explained it to me slowly. Good service, I like it !This is a good deal for me. Easy to install and simple interface. Althoughthere are some problems, but technical support help me quickly to solve it.He also reminded me this scanner is more suitable for scanning documents ordrafts, for photos will recommend to buy a CCD scanner. But for me, thequality is acceptable.
