Perfect 96w tb4 hub
It works right out of the box and charges at 96w. As a bonus there is no subpar DAC/audioport or subpar ethernet port which keeps the design small and clean. Those are typically of such low quality that they are quickly replaced by a separate dongle by demanding users. I wanted sufficient ports for 2x 4k HDR displays with VRR, a keyboard, a mouse and sufficient power to charge my demanding laptops. There are no extra ports that I don’t need, there are no drivers needed, there is no displaylink with its downsides, just a simple dock that can charge my laptops all in one cable. As long as it will pass the test of time, this is the perfect dock for my use case. Would recommend. Update Feb 2027: after 2 years of daily use I still have no issues with the dock. I replaced the thunderbolt cable connecting to my laptops once due to wear.

Loving It
Works! Buying used on Amazon from original manufacturers is just great. It costs $199 new and $84.99 used. No difference between the two. The used one is perfect and shows absolutely no signs of use. Thank you, Satechi.

Nice USB Hub
Compact and easy to hide. It has plenty of USB C ports for expansion, wish it came with a network port but beggars can’t be choosers I guess. Supplies 96W of charge for USB C devices so it’s great for pretty much anything.

Functional
It's fine. It disconnects from my M3 Max MBP periodically, but honestly that could be either the dock or the computer. It does it far less often than the equivalent OWC thunderbolt dock I had, and it reconnects automagically, unlike the OWC which sucked badly and required multiple reconnect attempts every time. So given the choice, I'd go with this one every time.

Excellent USB-C Hub to expand my iMac lightening ports
For context I was looking for a hub that can expand the usb-c/lightening ports on my iMac. I'm tired of swapping my Sandisk SSD and iPhone cord since my iMac only had 2 ports. So far it is doing what I need it to do. Seems to be fast and stable. If I have issues I'll be sure to update my review accordingly.

Daisy chained - fast & reliable
I use 2 of these daisy chained with a MacBook Pro M2 Max to drive an Insta camera, Rode mic, Stream deck, BlackMagic speed editor, 59" curved LG OLED, and 27" Samsung vertical... all simultaneously and have absolutely ZERO issues. TB4 is fast and these units maintain the protocol while providing ample power to those devices requiring it. I highly recommend these.

Buyer Beware
I had this for about 3 months and it suddenly stopped working. Very glad I have a warranty, else I'd be out of luck with having to buy another one. If I considered my options more carefully, i would have not gotten this due to lack of USB 3 ports with all the rest being USBC. Seems to give my Mac M2 decent charging, but I would not depend on it to quickly power your MacBook Pro. Now I have to file a claim to get this junk repaired or replaced.

Great to add USB-C Thunderbolt ports to laptops that only have one or two built-in.
Works as advertised. Since work provides laptops with limited USB ports, this was the only solution to connect a bunch of scientific instruments to it. Devices with high demand of bandwidth seem to work well. Many of these instruments are custom electronics and they work fine. I don't find any difference between using the ports of this device vs the built in ports of the computer. I have not tried this for video/monitor output.
