AniForte Mites Spray for Chicken 1000ml - Red Mite Treatment, Mites Killer, Poultry Shield

I brought this product to help tackle a current red mite problem with my canaries. It's the first time using the product and it does seem to work. I have only used it on the cages and surrounding areas as although you can use it on chickens I wouldn't like to chance it on my birds. It definitely seemed to kill the mites that came into direct contact with it. It does smell quite strongly but it's not an unpleasant smell.I'm personally using this along side S76 which you add to the birds drinking water. Another good product is total mite kill but you do have to remove all of the birds before use and for several hours after which is the upside to this product as the birds can stay where they are as long as your careful not to spray it where it might get it in their eyes or breath it in.

I have used it on 2 indoor cages after pouring boiling water over the cage to kill an infestation of redmites. Hopefully it will deter any remaining mites from going in the cage. And as far as I can tell - so far so good! I havent spotted any more of the little $#!+$!The smell is strong, not unpleasant but a bit overpowering. Its made my house smell like I've been cleaning which isnt the worst thing, just a bit off putting while eating. The chicks dont seem to mind or be affected by it tho :) I'm pleased that it isnt harmful to use around them and will be trying on the hens & their coop soon.*UPDATE* 6 weeks later n still 100% redmite free (touch wood)!

Great for treating mites on chickens but not effective at dealing with mites in the coop. Treat the girls after noticing mites in their feathers. After one treatment the majority of mites had gone with some remaining on the chicks with denser feathers. A second treatment for all of them cleared the remainder of mites.Pleasant citronella smell & it didn’t seem to irritate the chickens.Reduced by 1 star as it did not make any difference to the red mites in the coop despite treating it almost daily. Had to resort to buying smite for the coop which did work to treat the red mites but that cannot be used on the birds.

Used AniForte Mites Spray for Chicken 1000ml - Had a bad infestation of spider mites that came on very quickly, never had it like this before. To the extent that it irritated my experienced broody hen and she came off her eggs early. I generously sprayed, possibly over sprayed the 2 chicken houses, perches, nest boxes, runs and 12 large hens before the bottle ran out - it admittedly has a strong fragrance but it wears off within a day or so, this stuff really works - it has killed the spider mites. You can see where they were hiding in the cracks in the wood in the house and they have turned black as they have died from a grey almost mildew like colour. I can not recommend this product enough and now going to purchase more to do a follow up treatment to kill any more mites that may of hatched, and its always good to have some spare as a back up.

I had a problem with red mites in my chicken coop which I treated with various products including powder & smoke bombs (having first removed all bedding and chickens) I couldn’t seem to control the infestation. Although I also treated the chickens with the powder, they (like me) were becoming more distressed as the problem worsened. On closer inspection of the mites, I discovered that the original red/grey mites I had initially been treating had gone but that the mite which remained a problem was obviously a different variety - all grey and a little larger. I read the reviews on several products but decided to give this one a go as I wasn’t sure exactly which mite I now had and this product seemed to treat several types. Being a natural product which didn’t effect chickens or egg production was also a big consideration. I am pleased to report that after one application to both coop and chickens, there is no sign of any mites. My poor broody hen who was scratching continuously, has now peacefully returned to her mother hen duties without the irritation of unwanted visitors. Great product!

Easy to use

I bought this for my chicken coop as i wanted to spray areas i cannot get to along with diatemaceous earth, I have no mite issues so i cannot say if it gets rid of problems. I spray the whole coop weekly along with new bedding and hens back and under wings.. i love the smell it reminds me of citronella, lemon.. a big plus for me is it is not full of chemicals.. very good value and sturdy spray handle nozzle and bottle. The strong smell doesn't seem to bother the girls. Very good product 👍🤩

Used it to get rid of red mites that were coming in from overgrown vegetation from the neighbour's fence.Sprayed once, some came back applied again and so far so good .
