Worth the discount!
This chair retails new for about $2,200 so the price for the refurbished version is excellent. The quality was decent, a few scuffs on the hardware and the armrest pads slide a bit too easily but otherwise I have no complaints; super easy to assemble. This is the best chair out there—totally adjustable for height, seat depth, arm height and width, degree and location of lumbar support, and amount of reclining resistance. There is a guide to the various adjustments printed inside the right arm rest - just slide it inward for the guide to appear. As a top-heavy 5’8 woman with long legs, high hips, and some serious back pain, this chair is everything I need to be able to get through a day at the desk.

Don't trust the CHAIRORAMA chairs.
I bought the $600 chair sold by CHAIRORAMA. It seemed too good to be true and it is. Nowhere on the page does it say that it is heavily used and poorly repaired, but it is. The only indication of this is the words "open box" in a small bullet point at the bottom of the descriptio, even though the item is listed as "New" by Amazon. In regards to the issues. It creaks when gently moving it, and the leaning back motion is jerky, like it is ratcheting back. I thought it may get smoother after some time but after a month or so it still has the issue. Additionally the writing is worn off and one of the handles seems to have some sort of animal chew marks on it. The ultimate nail in the coffin, that I couldn't get over, is the black residue that rubs off when lightly touching the sides of it. It was poorly repaired with some sort of cheap black coating, clearly not designed to be used with on chair. It's gotten on my clothes, my hands, my arms, even my cats (which I am concerned about). See the video provided.

Nice chair, bit pricey for comfort
I did a lot of research on chairs for 2 years! This is a top-model chair at a considerably reduced price. It arrived in a huge box in 2 pieces and was super easy to put together. I could see how it would get damaged in shipping but mine was not. This chair has many, many ergonomic options for adjustments. I am 5'2" and finally, this chair goes low enough to rest my feet on the floor. It does go about to 15" from the floor. I have bought 2 other chairs that claimed to be low and were actually 17". This is the real deal! It is also good in seat depth. My only complaint is the cushion is just not super. It's nice, but not so great that I can sit for hours without being stiff. It is by far the best chair I have owned and I do recommend this if you are petite and need a low chair. I was having daily leg pain and it's gone.

Seemed like new to me!
I used to use the Steelcase Leap chair at my office job. Even though I worked 60 hours a week, my chair NEVER gave me pain. I never really thought anything about my chair until I started working from home. The Costco chair I bought seemed fine for the first few hours of the day. But by the end of the day, my neck, back and bum were so fatigued and sore. I investigated the chair at my office and found it on line for about $1,000. Sticker shocked, I could not believe the price. I suffered with the Costco chair for several years. I finally decided to see if the Leap chair was on Amazon, crossing my fingers the price would be better than I remember. I discovered this used LEAP chair from seller TE Seating for $499, shipping included. I debated for a few more weeks before pulling the trigger and treating myself. It took about a week to receive the chair. The shipping box was in shambles but to my delight, the chair was protected by loads and loads of air bubble packing stuff. The chair was also wrapped in protective plastic, wrap, the rollers casters were plastic wrapped in position to protect them, and the chair was in one piece. When I unwrapped all the protective stuff, my chair looked like brand spanking new! Truly! It had been steam sanitized too. Not a blemish to be found anywhere. I also found a hand written thank you note card from the seller taped to the chair. Wow! Now that I have been using the chair for nearly a week, I never think about my bum, back, or neck. I never think about my chair. I just think about my work. If anyone asked me if I would recommend this chair and this seller, I would say whole heartedly to GO FOR IT. You deserve to work in a comfortable, ergonomic chair! I also whole heartedly recommend the seller TE Seating. I would definitely buy from them again.

Comfortable enough, but not fully satisfying
I got a use - like new for a little over $300. Only used it for a few hours the same day I received it and here's my conclusion of the Steelcase Leap Black Fabric V2 Office Chair. The fabric is soft and comfortable. Installation is very easy. Only 3 pieces to slide into another; wheel base, chair, and gas cylinder. HOWEVER, taking them apart can be very difficult. Also the chair piece is fairly heavy as well as the box is too and cumbersome. The help of another person is necessary, unless you're strong and like a challenge. The armrests are made of plastic. They don't slide forward or backwards, only sideways. Can sometimes feel sticky if in sweaty/humid situation. They're also slide fairly easily and doesn't lock hard when sliding side to side (Con for me). The top back-half of the chair is hard plastic. I wouldn't suggest leaning your head or hand on it for long. Would be decent for a back head/neck massage. I like to rest my heels on the top of the wheels' base, but it's very narrow and can hurt so you can't do this. While picking up my chair, a wheel slid off. I assume they all can. Easy to slide back in. Wheels are okay on carpet, though they kind of dig in. Seat slides forward and back easier when not on the seat. The back support slider makes a difference but not really noticeable for me. Oh yeah, there is NO ROCKING FUNCTION. You can recline a fair way, but you can't rock. You can change the resistance when leaning back to its full extent, but there's not enough to spring you back. Take the pressure off and it'll revert back to its upright position. Return shipping costs ~$30, and taking it apart is a real pain (good luck). I'm a picky person being a near-perfectionist and wanting the best. I was certain this was the chair for me but I was disappointed. If you want this chair, be more than certain you know all the facts before buying one. If none of this bothers you, then look no further for this chair may be your soul mate. As for me, I'll have to keep searching.

Great chair for a great price - don't let the refurb scare you!
It's a great chair - but you knew that already. My review is for the refurbished one sold by Madison Seating. After spending 1000$+ on a new Aeron I wanted to get one for my wife who has to sit long hours for her job. This time around we decided to see if there were open box / refurbs available cheaper and that's how I found this one sold by Madison Seating. It was quite a bit cheaper than a new one so we decided to take a chance. I am glad to let you know it has worked out well. The chair was clean, well packed and almost new. It was also fully assembled for a bonus. All the functions work as expected and the chair is quite comfortable for my 5'6" wife after adjusting for height, lumbar support and arms. I will update this review if I find anything worthwhile to report on, but for now I am happy to have saved money and given the wife something comfortable and ergonomic to sit on!

Don't Buy This One
The box arrived with a hole in the side and the center pole was sticking out a little. When I unpacked it and assembled the chair one side lever didn't work at all and the lever that lowers the chair didn't work. I did an RMA and didn't notice until I got to UPS that I'm expected to pay for return shipping! Also, the chair won't fit inside the original shipper box so I have to find and buy a box large enough. Don't buy this one. Buy a new one that you probably won't have any shipping issues with. I've owned a similar steelcase chair for many years and loved it. So it's not the product that's bad - it's bad packing and shipping and a BAD return policy (making the buyer pay for return shipping). And weeks later, this company still has not refunded my return. October 1, 2023 and they still haven’t refunded my return.

Not Convinced 3 Months In
I'm not sure what I expected. It's comfortable enough, let's you sit, recline, and adjust the arm pieces. I thought it'd be more plush in the back and the bottom. The plush in the bottom is holding up well for 8+ hours of use everyday. The arm pieces aren't tailored in anyway, just mildly cushiony plastic pieces. I didn't notice the smell that others complained about. Overall, it feels cheap. If I could go back, I'd buy a different one for this kind of money.
