Purchased this hinge to use with an aluminum cargo carrier I already owned. For convenience I wanted to fold the carries against the tailgate when parking, backing-up. The hinge works well and I have not had any problems with it. It is rated for 500 Lbs. but I rarely load more than 200 Lbs. The mounting tube on the cargo carrier was fairly long so to adjust for the difference in the location of the receiver mount I ended up cutting 4.25 inches of the tube and drilling a new retaining pin whole. Just didn't like the distance of the carrier from rear bumper. Yes, the carrier is mounted what would be "upside down" when I have it folded against the back of the truck. I found due to the clearance from the side rails on the carrier when mounted "right side up" I could only take 2.75 inches off the mounting tube of the carrier so decided would rather flip the carrier every time then give up the distance.

Purchased this hitch to allow the basket to fold up when not in use. this hitch is well made, works as it should.

Picture instructions, complete kit and nice fit. Assembling was a breeze and appears to be good quality. The only reason I giving a 4 star is I have not actually used it -- I don't see any future problem.

Ok extension.
They are serving its purpose. All those with similar built have a same defect . The upper part tilted to the right if look from the front. other than that it could be a 5. Do not how durable it is yet.
