Had different brand Love This One More
Had a different brand that worked great every day until it didn't after a year and a half.On a budget so bought cheapest at the time - it has a green soda brand - didn't mind - but that one didn't get my sodas quite cool enough. This one has perfect cold & was on sale. It can be used for makeup products or whatever, with a tiny plastic basket on the inside of door.To use for soda, you have to remove it to fit 6 cans (just slips out)So bought a second and returning green other brand.Note:1 a lot of reviews about a similar similar short lifespan - but per month it's ok2 complaints door broke when slammed fridge door closedIT IS NOT A MINI REFRIGERATOR - IT IS DESIGNED TO KINDA LOOK LIKE ONE.DONT SLAM DOOR.3 In fact kinda need to, but should anyway, use two hands to close. One to hold unit in place while other carefully and softly snap the door closed. Don't need to use "the door handle" opener to close, if you just softly close with push & hear & feel the door click.4 says also "For Hot to stay hot". I never tried it but in general, if you want your mini can cooler to last as long as possible, id just keep it place.5 also, if you see any dust accumulate on the air cool intake fan ( very little air and quiet) but if use a hand vac to periodically to remove any visible dust, may extend life.6 PERSONAL hack. Have a chest cooler. Worried wouldn't not get enough air to keep it cool. Bought a tiny/small USB fan, and have it blow into the air vent, and it really keeps items super frozen. Sometime I don't notice the fan got unplugged, and can tell with things lees hard frozen (frozen still, but want it to be as cold as possible)APPLICATION if you put a mini cooler like this kind, if not enough ventilation a small USB fan could help. There is no temperature control. So might help.

Great Product, Super Customer Service Provided by the Chefman Team
This is an updated review. The fridge met my expectations for cooling cans of soda for three months. I was very satisfied. Then, although the fan worked, the fridge stopped cooling. I left a review stating my satisfaction with the fridge until it stopped working. It was tool late to return it, so I chalked it up as a loss. The Chefman team immediately replied to my review without me contacting them. They asked if I would like a replacement, and of course I said yes. I got the new fridge three days later, and it is doing a fine cooling job. Now, that's superb customer service.

Hot Deal, Cool Find! Best of Both Worlds! =)
This is an amazing little find! Top notch! I snagged one as a discreet way to keep a few beverages cold in the office by my desk. So far, it's worked perfectly for the last month or so. I can't vouch for longterm quality or how energy efficient it is, but it seems very well-designed from a reputable company, so I trust the various claims and energy ratings that they state. If it's not clear from pictures and descriptions, this easily handles 6 cans of pop (U.S. 12OZ cans). It could probably hold 4 of certain bottles too, but cans are all I need. It's fairly quiet, it's compact and lightweight. It could definitely be brought along in the car or on a boat– especially given the free power adapter they provide. My only gripe would be the lack of a thermostat or at least a temperature control with a couple more options. It only has "hot" "cold" and "off." I have no idea what the internal temp is when set to cold, but it's super chilly! (Borderline ice-y, but definitely no ice crystals or frost.) Would be nice to even have a "high" or "low" on the two temps, or a loose thermostat option so that it aims for a specific temp. I'm sure that'd also help with energy-ratings. In it's current design, it runs 24/7.

Keeps medication cool!
We bought this at the last minute before a trip and it came overnight! We both take medication that requires refrigeration and this sat behind my car seat and worked on car battery, then was able to be plugged to house/hotel current when w stopped for the night. It is perfect! Can also keep 4 sodas or waters cool for traveling. Tiny, portable, and perfect! We love it.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY - FIRE HAZARD!!!
Put it out in the garage. Worked for a while on the cold setting, but every so often the four screws inside on the back would ice over so I'd have to defrost it. Started smelling an electrical smell about a week ago but couldn't pinpoint the origin. Came out yesterday to discover it had quit working - the button would not slide to either hot or cold, like it was stuck, and there was a scorched appearance by the switch. Got close enough to smell, and sure enough, that's where the hot electrical odor was coming from. Essentially, it overheated and burnt up. Thank goodness it didn't start a fire. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS FIRE HAZARD!!

Always On = Short Life
Overall, a good fridge! Like it says, it keeps cold things better if they go in cold and hot things are hotter if they go in hot. It keeps coffee warm if you drink it slow like me, and I keeps some drinks/snacks cool for when you need them.I could see this working better perhaps as a skincare fridge as it doesn’t get *too* cold, but only if it lasted longer (more about that below).Don’t push the contents in the fridge past where the door closes easily as the plastic latch can break under stress.I got my desk fridge at the end of Dec 2021. I kept it almost constantly running on cold in my work office, and around November or December 2023 it stopped working (no cold or hot). With constant use, I’d say this fridge has just under a two-year life (and the warranty is one year only).I’m not technical enough to open it to find the problem, but leaving it off and unplugging does nothing, so it’s basically a brick for me now. No fans, just a blinking red light at most. That being said, we all know this isn’t a “real” mini fridge going into the purchase, but for what this little thing does do, I think it’s a decent purchase. Just wish it lasted a little longer.
