Key programming, map topology. Does everything I need it to do! It scans very fast. All bi directional worked on my truck. FYI will need to be updated to have topology.

I would say this is a great tool to start off with, many great features to explore.. It has many manufacturer specific procedures under special functions.. updates are also nice. good tool for a DIYer like myself.

This xtool D8 hits the sweet spot on price, quality, performance & features! 3yrs of free updates is best in the industry, $199 a year thereafter, has topology mapping which can only be found on competitors offering that cost twice as much as the xtool D8. Xtool customer/aftersales/tech support is the best in the business! I decided to give xtool a try after coming from launch crp909, crp129x & creader vii, launch support is non existence for any launch product purchase from Amazon. Super glad I found the xtool D8 that comes with a company that stands behind their products! The key programming side of the xtool D8 is above the competitors as it can pull pin codes, this D8 has already paid for itself many times over. The xtool D8 is perfect for serious DIY and professional alike that won't break the bank, I recommend it to families and friends every time I get the chance to do so.

The Xtool D8 was easy to use but did not support many features with my old Toyota. The case needs deeper compartments to get the contents back in faster. It might have fit if I had discarded the protective foam and left the AC adapter out. The packing slip mentioned a 12v adapter, but I did not see one in my box. Although this is a Prime item, there is no quick refund option. I imagine fraud is a big concern. I must wait up to 30days after the return is received plus another week for bank processing.

I was having trouble with my Chevrolet duramax diesel truck regarding the DEF fluid. This scanner helped me figure out what part to replace and now my truck is fixed. Saved me from taking to dealer to fix. Great scanner

This tool has taken my diagnostics to the next level. I am pleased with the updates and overall ease of the product. The D8 has all I need to offer my customers a better explanation of what's wrong with their vehicle. It's all data that this tool provides.

This D8 is very good and faster then D7 with a lot more options.

Too many features missing or don't work. Shows in the menu and product page, but connect to a car and learn it doesn't work for the car you are repairing. Customer Service answers emails, but after waiting a few months they have not fixed or added requested functions that their product page leads me to believe already existed. It does well at scanning the ECMs, but too expensive when other tools do that for hundreds of dollars less.
