These arrived in good condition with noticeable mycelium. I started them in fresh logs, sealed with wax, and set aside on our property. This is their second fall season and half of the logs are fruiting shiitake. Some wild turkey tail also started on the logs

Not a single mushroom came up. Planted on trees that were made for planting. Just did what the instructions said nothing. Waisted of my money and time. 000000 stars

Very little mycelium on the plug
Edit: After doing a bit of research, I found that the amount of mycelium on the plug doesn't really matter as long as there is some in the spiral on the dowels. With that said, these have enough from what I understand. I also found out that the seed is something for the fungus to use as a food source and I didn't realize that before. I am going to be plugging some longs with these soon. I made 5 large longs over the weekend with a different batch that I had purchased and will plug shorter logs with these! Updated from 2 star to 4 star. Sorry my ignorance had me leaving a crap rating. Original: Hopefully these workout well. I bought similar plugs for shiitake mushrooms and those plugs came full with mycelium. These seem to have bird seed inside the pack with very little mycelium. I'll pop it in the fridge for a little while and see if the mycelium takes better. Not what I was hoping for. :-/

Got them in March and in October they grew on every stump. Very happy with product quality

Incorrect Spores
Oak logs inoculated with these plugs yielded Turkey tail mushrooms. Conditions for the logs were adequate because at same time Mulberry logs were inoculated with Pink Oyster mushrooms and those have been yielding as intended.

I received my order 4 days before it was scheduled to arrive. The instructions provided are very helpful. I will try to remember to do an update once I have a successful growth.
