Tonic Studios 107E 9.5-inch Tim Holtz Titanium Shear, Maroon

I've had a smaller pair of Tonic scissors by Tim Holtz for years and they are still excellent so when I saw these larger ones I was glad to have the opportunity to get them at a very good price. The fine serrated edge mean these scissors hold whatever material they are cutting so you get a very accurate cut and they seem to stay sharp indefinitely. The handles are a good size and made of a slightly soft material so they are very comfortable to use.

I've been wanting these scissors for an age... finally treated myself and so glad I did. They're fantastic all round! I'm left handed but they're comfortable to use.

This is my second pair. They are great all round scissors. The first pair have been put through their paces for several years, and have been constantly used for craft type stuff, in my studio. My husband grabbed them for a gardening job, and they've been so useful doing all sorts of garden jobs, even topiary, that I've had to relinquish them to that garden role, and so have a new pair for the studio. They seem to cope with everything. They're OK for cutting material, but really not designed for that, I think that's the only thing I don't use them for - although felt etc would be fine. They are a good length, which is what attracted me first off, so great for cutting paper.

I would expect nothing but the best from Tim Holtz and these totally deliver. I keep certain scissors for certain things and these are for paper only. The one disappointment I have with them (and it’s quite major) is the handles. Because the holes are the same size for four fingers and the other for one thumb, my thumb cannot grip securely! It keeps slipping out. Therefore I do not have good control over them.

Trotz unterschiedlicher Meinungen finde ich die Schere sehr angenehm. Für ganz feine Papierarbeiten wird sie nicht verwendet und sie schneidet sehr gut. Sehr stabile Ausführung und gute Handhabung.
