My all-time favorite EDC pen!
This pen is perfect in my opinion; it feels great in the hand, it’s lightweight, has a bolt action deployment of the ink cartridge, and can definitely cause some damage if used for self defense. I used the Atomic Bear Swat pen for years and it was nice but felt a little bulky and was cumbersome to use quickly for writing (especially one-handed when trying to pop off the cap) so when I found the Stealth Pen with bolt action I was very excited to try it out…and it did not disappoint one bit!The shape of the Stealth Pen is so nice and it contours really well to my hand, making it comfortable for writing. The polymer body feels premium and well designed, this also makes it less likely to be confiscated by TSA when going through security, especially compared to the Swat pen which looked more “tactical” with various ridges and full metal body construction.I carry this pen with me every single day and it’s nice to have it for both jotting down notes as well as in the event of an emergency or a self defense situation. The “DNA grabber” teeth on the business end of the pen would definitely do damage if needed although thankfully I’ve never needed to use it for self defense. An added bonus is the glass breaker end which is a nice thing to have, all you do is pop off the rubber cap and it’s ready for use.The bolt action of the ink cartridge deployment feels great and has an added “fidget factor” which is fun to play with, just be mindful that it does make noise so you might not want to be constantly sliding the bolt up and down around others who might be bothered by the sound. I like that the pen can accept the Fisher space ink refills and doesn’t require some proprietary cartridge.Overall, I think Atomic Bear absolutely nailed it with the design of the Stealth Pen. This pen is a joy to use, carries securely in my pocket, and is always ready to use the business end if needed. I carry this pen clipped inside my pocket every single day and recommend it to everyone looking for their new EDC pen!

Works Great, Highly Recommend
I've had several different tactical pens, but the main things I like about this one:1. It's not too bulky. This will fit in or on a pocket just fine.2. It's not too heavy, it's polymer so that definitely cuts down on some of the weight.3. I love the "bolt-action" feature mainly because it's much more functional than removing a cap, twisting (where it can twist in your pocket and get ink everywhere), etc. Also it sounds/looks cool.4. It has a heavy duty clip for your pocket and not one that breaks easy. I tend to be rough on things but this holds up very well.5. It actually writes pretty well, and the refills are standard and easy to find.6. It has everything you would want in a tactical pen.My one con is the rubber piece that covers the glass breaker can fall off and you can lose it - leaving a pointy end that can dig into you depending on where you keep this pin. It won't just fall off, but if you bump it on something or if it catches then it can fall off. Still though, not enough to cost it a star. I would highly recommend this to any other EDC guys like myself who value functionality.

Good quality and value
Lightweight, resistant, non-slip design, agressive point. And very good for daily use.

More stealthy than standard model, but not completely stealthy
The security team at our church uses and likes the standard Atomic Bear aluminum tactical pen. However, it's not something I'd try and take through a metal detecting security screening, and its sharp tip might damage clothing or even me accidentally. Thus, when this new model appeared, I figured I'd give it a try too. What's better: 1) It is a lot easier to use as a pen. Just click the bolt action pen actuator, and you are writing, rather than having to use a lot of body strength to pull off the pen cover and move it to the other end of the pen first. 2) It has a nicely ergonomic shape for actually writing. 3) It still has a carbide auto glass breaker tip, but nicely hidden under the rubber top cover, rather than waiting for a chance to stab anything near it.What's not better: 1) The writing tip has three very sharp prongs. Intended to grab a DNA sample of anyone stabbed with the pen, they may also stab something you didn't want stabbed, and might be noticed and confiscated at a security checkpoint. Fortunately, if that bothers anyone, they can easily be filed off. 2) The brand label is also non-removable, and might be recognized at a security checkpoint.I also very much like that this new model can use any of the Parker/Fisher/Schmidt refills. Since I prefer a wide tip, I immediately replaced the medium top refill provided with a Schmidt wide tip refill already on hand.Ironically, a local college (Chapman) recently gave me a near-perfect stealth tactical pen (see photo.) It's not as sturdy as either of the Atomic Bear pens, but does include a flashlight in its flat top, and has the same bolt action for pen operation. Sadly, it only takes cheap standard pen refills.Overall, I'm glad to have both this stealthier plastic tactical pen and the standard aluminum tactical pen.
