We advise users to recharge the security key every three months for a duration of 20 minutes. It is important to note that the battery is not replaceable. However, even in the event of a depleted battery, the Fido key can still be utilized normally by connecting it to your preferred PC or Mac device. Due to the nature of a U2F device, unfortunately not, services that you use a U2F device om generally give you recovery codes to use should this occur (github is one of them) Use these codes to recovery access to your account and then remove the lost/damaged device from your account, and then add the new one
