Disney's My First Songbook for Easy Piano, Vol. 1

Fabulous quality.
Good sounding easy arrangements with a variety of early skill levels. The pages are very well illustrated and this is a book to treasure - but it is not for the young beginner! The pieces are all several pages long - some 8 - 10 so require some patience to learn. I would recommend - as it is such a lovely collection and well presented.

Super piano book for Grade 1/2 student! ☺️
Bought this for my daughter who is learning piano. Contains some great well known Disney songs. This is quite difficult. Would suit someone playing confidently around Grade 1/2. She loves it, but it is too hard for a complete beginner. 😊

Happy days
Good. A little advanced for a total beginner I'd say. But my daughter has been learning for a little while and has been happy that she can play a fair bit of the jungle book.

Difficult for Grade 1 but will make more use out of over time
Great book with a few minor errors but for beginners is great for getting some Disney tunes learnt for fun! Quite difficult for a grade 1 student, however will make more use of over time.

Difficult arrangements
I bought this book for a student who had just successfully completed an exam and wanted to learn some Disney pieces. Unfortunately, because there is no "look inside" feature available , one can be misled by the title of the book, My First Book of Disney....., my first book it most definitely is NOT. Some of the arrangements are very tricky. As a teacher, I found it very difficult to choose an approachable arrangement for my student who is very capable though young. She was very disappointed that some of the songs she wanted to learn were , firstly, too long - some being 6 or 7 pages long, secondly, a bit "weird" in the arrangement department. I'm quoting her!! Acuna Matata for example, concentrates more on the spoken dialogue between Timon and Pumba rather than getting to the bones of the song. A Whole New World is lovely, but has a tricky fingering in the treble clef, plus a key change. To sum up, a beautifully produced book, but definitely not for an absolute beginner or young improver either. A great pity, as the pieces contained therein could be fantastic if more sympathetically arranged for the younger player. Younger player does not specifically refer to young in age, but playing level.

Colorful and entertaining
Playing piano is not the easiest thing in the world. With this book though, being familiar with many of the songs and imagining the famous cartoons, you can get more enthusiastic about playing and practising.
