Great design
Having owned many feeders of various designs in the past they all had one flaw . Seed spilling over the feeding area and ending up feeding non desirables.Having read all the reviews on this feeder it seemed that this simple design may be the solution . It seemed a bit pricey but with autumn approaching I decided to treat my feathered visitors to a new restaurant in the garden .The order arrived very promptly and was well packaged . The feeder was topped up and suitable placed in the garden. Within 5 minutes the regular robin was first to the table . After watching him for an hour the regular flock of sparrows were jostling for a go and were soon forming an orderly queue waiting for their turn .Any spillage was efficiently collected in the large collection area at the base of the feeder and could be poured back into the seed hopper so very little waste .The large overhanging roof design also kept the rain off the feeding ports and kept the waste collection bowl dry . When the wind drove the rain in sideways the feeding ports remained dry with only a small amount going in the waste collection section . The quick release nature of the collection bowl meant it could be easily cleaned out if the waste food had become damp and couldn't be recycled. In conclusion, it is a simple design that makes you wonder why it hasn't been adopted till now . Cost more than other feeders maybe but this one does the job . The birds love it and no sweeping up to do at the end of the day . Highly recommended AAA 👌

Brilliant product and service
These feeders are just great. Well made and robust, attractive design which looks good in the garden. It holds a decent quantity of bird food and the no mess design is exactly what I needed to minimise the dropping of food which can attract unwanted visitors. The delivery time of the feeders was less than 24 hours which I find astonishing. I ordered one on a Wednesday and it was delivered on Thursday, I was so impressed with the quality that I ordered another on a Saturday and received it on Sunday.I have bought the “ Suet ball” type but I’m thinking I may purchase the dual seed feeder type going forward. These are not the cheapest of feeders but are certainly the best I have found.

Expensive - but well made overall.
This is a well thought out bird feeder with the exception perhaps of a rather loose closing mechanism on its base, as mentioned in some reviews. We wanted to customise the two we bought with baffles hanging above, to keep feed in bases dry, and hanging trays below, to prevent seed dropping to ground level (we've been in this game a long time and are wise to Starlings throwing seed everywhere) which is a problem associated with all designs but less so with this one. Birds took to it readily - but not been able to eat seed fallen through the grid, as described on the website. This base is quite deep and most UK and visiting species just don't have beaks long enough - it does mean that the dropped seed stays dry and is not wasted though. Very numerous Wood Pigeons around here did require further dissuasion from landing on the hanging trays - achieved by further customising. That is the biggest plus that we were aiming for!

Don't waste your money!
At first it was great and the small birds came and fed happily. The pigeons that were sat on the shed look on and tried to land on it to eat the seeds but couldn't. I say couldn't because after a day they had worked out they could land inside and under the roof and eat all the seed. If you want a bird feeder that only feeds smaller birds then I'd not buy this expensive piece of plastic.I am now in the process of making the roof bigger so it does stop bigger birds being able to land and get under.

the lid blows up and the seed gets wet when its windy
at the beginning I was impressed with the design but once the wind blew then the lid kept popping up and the food got wet. the dish at the bottom does stop it falling on the ground which is good and the pigeons cant feed off it. I will try to fix the lid down so it will be useable. The birds took a while to use it. Im guessing it is because its not obviously a traditional shape for feeders.
