Presta-Valve Dial Gauge with Pressure Relief: 30psi

As good as everyone says. Super accurate Presta Valve bike tire gauge. And it functions very well too, in that as soon as you push it on the stem, the pointer snaps to point at the pressure. And when you remove it it holds the pressure and stays pointing at that spot / whatever the pressure # is, which is great, until you push the little pressure release valve. And it's solid brass.I have bought multiple bike pumps over the years, and everyone reads a different pressure on the same tire, and so do my friends. And I never have known which pump pressure, if any of them, is accurate! Given all of the money I have spent on bikes and bike stuff over the years, I have no idea why I waited so long to spend $20 on this so I can easily use the same accurate pressure evetime instead of having to squeeze the tire until I like it. My current pump was so far off, I took this gauge to a bike shop and tried a few new pumps until I found one w/ a gauge that was actually accurate. I tried five different solid pumps, and four of them were way off on accuracy. Now I own a pump that has an accurate gauge! And yes I did confirm this gauge is accurate, by borrowing two professional guages they have, and this one gave the same reading as theirs did.

We are pretty stoked on this purchase. We ride a lot of bikes, both in frequency and quantity. Most of our tires are tubeless mid-fats (2.6ish) and we like to run lower tire pressures which means we have to be a bit more vigilant about leakage, altitude changes, and temp changes. Having a standalone guage is awesome for dialing in and checking pressures quickly without necessarily using the floor pump (I also dont really trust the guage on my floor pump, it can be sticky sometimes). We had been considering a digital guage but were struggling with the price and then we found this one. We have been using this guage for a few months and it has worked well. It is easy to use and reliable. I can't speak to durability and at the price point I dont expect too much from it. But so far we are very happy with it and have definitly recomended it to friends.

Works great - and so much better than the SKS digital gauge I had been using, which was utter garbage. This one goes onto the presta valve securely and does not bleed air out in the process. You can then precisely bleed out air with the bleeder valve on the side of the gauge. The scale is also helpful for my tubeless MTB wheels and my CX tires, which are much lower than the pressures I run on my road bike. As a result, I can see whether I am at 20, or 21, or 19, very easily - compared to a gauge that went up to 120 psi, where the low pressures I want to run may show one hash mark between 20 and 30 psi.So in short - great gauge and I would buy it again.

pretty good for the money. Works as expected, fairly sensitive to pressure changes. easy to take a reading and will HOLD the air in until you release the button on the top, which is nice. Solid brass seems sturdy but the plasticy/glass face and some of the rest of the housing dont seem the most rugged. But its 14 bucks, air guage. I dont expect to be abusing it. Keeping it in my glove box for some mountain bike trail head tire pressure checks. I recommend this gauge, especially if you have a tubeless setup (and 99% that means you run Presta only)

Easy to use. Accurate and repeatable pressure readings. Much better than the gauge built into the floor pump.

I used this on my 29" tires and it worked fine. But, one day I went to measure my road bike tires and mistakenly picked up this gauge rather than the higher pressure one. The gauge broke when I put it against the road tire. It's permanently stuck reading 11 psi with no pressure in it. Granted, the road tire was low and had 80 psi in it. So it was my fault the gauge broke. But is the gauge so delicate that it can't handle a short sighted mistake like I made?So, after I realized my mistake that broke the gauge, I went to get my brand new 160 psi Meiser gauge for the road bike. It was still in the package and I noticed the gauge was reading 30 psi in the package! I opened the top of the package and pressed down on the pressure relief button and it didn't budge. The gauge was broken either from the factory or it didn't even survive shipping from Amazon.Normally I would chalk the first broken gauge on my stupidity and not do a review. But after 2 gauges breaking, I have to suspect the durability of Meiser products.

Stopped working after a few months

I've had one of these for over 12 years, but it started giving false readings and the pressure release quit working. Maybe the rubber dried out or something (although I've dropped it, lost it in the woods, jostled it around in my bike bag, etc). In any event, I'm glad they are still making these and they are built just like they were back then. No batteries, no digital read out, no led light, no nothing that gets in the way of a simple - reliable - repeatable pressure reading for Presta valves.
