This particular LPA sight does not fit properly on the Springfield Range Officer model 1911!
This particular sight is Indeed an LPA designed for competiton style adjustable 1911 sights. However they do NOT fit on the Springfield RO. They are great sights not massive like the original sights on the Range Officer. I tried to put them on as is from the box and they fit however the slide on the firearm is not threaded to hold down the sight leaf with the elevation screw so you would need to have your slide tapped and threaded to use this sight properly. What I did was to remove the night sight from the product baseplate and placed it on the original base plate by knocking out the hinge pin with a punch and swapping them. It works but had to do some file work on the niggt sight to sit properly in the original baseplate. After you place the night sight in the original baseplate the screw holes do not line up so you cannot use the elevation screw, however the hinge hold the leaf down with a good amount of pressure and leveled properly due to the straight baseplate so it works fine and won't cause any problems but you won't be able to adjust up and down unless you place a shim underneath still works however. The conclusion is you need to do some proffesional milling or rig the sights the way I did the sights are great but do NOT properly fit the Springfield Range Officer even though it is an LPA sight.
