Gear Gator Combo Axe [31-001054]

I've had one of these for years, decided to get another. Good size for one hand use, balances nicely. Knife in the handle it great, seems to get used more than the hatchet.

I have had a Gerber Back Paxe for many years. It is identical to this product except it doesn't have the additional feature of the knife in the handle. I have used this and enjoyed it for many years and when I saw this product, I had to have it. I also bought the Gerber model like this, except a little longer that has the saw that is carried in the handle. I am very pleased with both of these as I am with the original short Gerber hand axe (Back Paxe). I have used the short handled Gerbers to split the sternum and pelvic bones on many deer I have field dressed. It is perfect for this job, which really can't be done with most hunting knives. And this cute little Gerber axe fits into any small hunting pack, or could be worn on your belt in it's case. Great product. I wouldn't be without one of these. Buy it, you'll like it. (*****)

I lived in Wasilla, Alaska for about 5 months. I was building fires every day used it three times a day. I left it there for my brother. Very sturdy and kept it edge the whole time! So, I just got mine today, I love the combo!

I love how this hatchet has a included knife in the handle it's a little difficult at first to remove but then it's easy to remove the knife. The hatchet works well for hacking at small things it hasn't rusted on me and I have had it for 7 months now. The hatchet is supper light weight.

This is a small pack axe, buy one with a longer handle if you want to split big logs and make big pile of firewood. This small hatchet is more suited to hiking and camping. Both the axe and the knife came very dull and unable to perform any real work. Don't make the mistake of taking these new out of the box on a camping trip because the blades have issues cutting cardboard until they are honed on a whetstone into useful tools. After a lot of sharpening they both seem to be good blades and do the jobs they were designed to pretty well. It fits easily into a small backpack which means it can be always with you rather than at camp which is where you would probably leave a large hatchet on a trip. It can split up to medium firewood OK with the right techniques. The knife stays inside the handle fine with the embedded magnet and tight fit, I took off the extra plastic strap it comes with and saved it for later in case the handle knife becomes loose over time. If you have a whetstone and want a convenient carry hatchet to make campfires, this is a good choice. If you have a big pile of firewood to make on a trip, buy a full size hatchet and a pull saw instead.

I field dressed a deer using only this kit. Sharp, handy, and efficient. Highly recommended!!!

Awesome concept! Great Axe! Not to sharp but sharpening it isn't hard. The knife fits very nicely inside the handle with magnets on both inner axe handle and blade handle edge plus a nice rubber cover that keep in securely in the handle. A must have!!

Hatchet is smaller than expected. The knife is not very sharp.

Good quality product - just note that to fit cover push handle through hole first (took us a while to work it out!)

Ich habe mir dieses Beil bestellt, um z.B. Holz für ein Lagerfeuer zu machen. Für mehr ist es nicht gedacht und auch nicht gemacht. Aufgrund der Größe passt es allerdings Problemlos in jeden Rucksack. Die Verarbeitung macht einen sehr guten Eindruck. Ebenfalls finde ich das im Griff untergebrachte Messer toll. Ich kann dieses Beil nur weiterempfehlen.

Sehr schöne kleine Qualitative Mini Axt. Klasse Funktion mit super Messer im Stiel der Axt.Bin wirklich begeistert. Für das Geld absolut zu empfehlen. Zelt Heringe lassen sich mit der Rückseite auch Klasse eintreiben. Der Nächste Campingausflug kann kommen.👍🏻
