Perfect piece.
Fits perfect and looks great. Has all the plugs that I need. Shipping was quick and it works perfectly. Value for the money was online and it connects to the computer flawlessly with the ability to charge. It is mall and almost weightless and fits in my backpack pocket and I forget it’s there. It has some many options to plug in that it’s compatible with everything.

Perfect addition to MacBook Air
Exactly what I wanted. Provides multiple different interfaces/types, as Apple has chosen to simplify their native interfaces. Unit is small, hardly notice it is there at all. Easy to plug in and out, but stays put. No problems with the mag charging port, that is fully accessible. Totally compatible with everything I have plugged in so far.

Costs a little more than other connector hubs, but it's worth it
Way superior design. I bought another hub for my Mac about a year ago that was connected by a cord, and the weight of the HDMI cable made the connection to the USB-C become unstable when moved. This two USB-C connection design is so much more stable, and is future proofed for my connectivity needs with all the extra ports.

Very handy with a couple of minor issues
Works well and is very well built. No wires needed to attach it, but obviously you are going to have wires anyway to hook up your devices. Overall this is an excellent product and well worth the money. Nevertheless I removed one star for two minor gripes. The first is that while the unit plugs in securely, it does separate from my notebook a bit especially at the far end away from the plugs that connect it to my laptop. This doesn’t seem to affect performance but I find it a bit annoying having to periodically push it back to retighten it. The second is that the card reader sits too low in the unit and is difficult to access unless you tilt the computer to insert your card. Again, this is a minor issue but since I bought the computer specifically for photo processing it is a bit annoying for my use. Overall, otherwise a great product and it’s small size, portability, and many inputs make it a great investment. I recommend it.

Compact and Versatile USB-C Hub for MacBook Users
The Anker 547 USB-C Hub (7-in-2) is a sleek, multifunctional accessory designed for MacBook Pro and MacBook Air users. With 7 ports, including a Thunderbolt 4 USB-C port, 4K HDMI, and data ports, it aims to enhance connectivity while maintaining portability. I tested this hub with a MacBook Air M1 for various tasks, including video output, file transfers, and charging. Pros: ✅ Includes 7 essential ports (Thunderbolt 4 USB-C, HDMI, USB-C, 2 USB-A, and more) for versatile connectivity. ✅ Thunderbolt 4 USB-C port supports high-speed data transfer and charging. ✅ 4K HDMI output delivers sharp and clear video for external displays. ✅ Compact, lightweight design integrates seamlessly with the MacBook. ✅ Plug-and-play functionality; no driver installation required. Cons: ❌ Limited to MacBooks with USB-C ports; not universally compatible with other laptops or devices. ❌ Ports can feel crowded when multiple peripherals are connected. Performance and Usability: This hub performed reliably in all tested scenarios. The Thunderbolt 4 USB-C port supported fast file transfers and passthrough charging, while the HDMI port delivered crisp 4K video to an external monitor with no lag or display issues. USB-A and USB-C data ports facilitated quick and easy connections for external drives and peripherals. Its compact size made it highly portable, perfect for use on the go, while its aluminum finish matched the MacBook's aesthetic. However, when all ports were in use simultaneously, the close spacing made it slightly tricky to connect bulkier devices or cables. Comparison: Compared to other USB-C hubs in its class, the Anker 547 stands out for its Thunderbolt 4 support, which provides faster speeds and broader compatibility with high-performance devices. While some hubs offer more ports, this one focuses on quality and MacBook-specific design, ensuring a seamless user experience. Who Is This For?: This hub is ideal for MacBook Pro and Air users who need a reliable, portable solution for expanding connectivity. It's particularly suited for professionals who frequently connect to external displays or require high-speed data transfer. Conclusion: The Anker 547 USB-C Hub (7-in-2) is a well-rounded accessory for MacBook users, delivering excellent performance, versatility, and a sleek design. While it may not cater to non-MacBook devices, its compatibility and functionality make it a valuable tool for anyone invested in Apple's ecosystem.

Works Great So Far!
I needed a USB hub for my new Macbook Air, which only has two USB C ports. I decided to try this one and so far it's worked great. I like it because it mounts flush with the computer and doesn't dangle. It does take up both of the USB ports on the Mac, but that's ok. It fits perfectly and does not cover up the magnetic charging port. At first it wasn't working, but then I was able to push it in a little tighter and it was fine. I haven't moved the computer around, but from what I can tell the hub seems to be securely attached. It includes two USB A ports and two USB C ports, which is what I was looking for. It also has a couple of other types of ports which I probably won't be using. One of the USB C ports is for "pass through charging" as well as data transfer. Some hubs do not transfer data through their charging port, but this one does both. I haven't had this long, but it worked fine when I used one of the USB A ports to transfer my files from an external drive that Carbonite sent me. My previous computer was a Windows PC, and Carbonite's backup program is not compatible across platforms, so my only choice was to have them send an external drive. The file transfers went quickly and smoothly. I also used the powered USB C port with an external CD drive which I also purchased from Amazon. The instructions on the drive said to not use a hub but to plug it directly into the computer. I did not want to remove the hub to use the CD drive, so I decided to try the USB C port which included the power. The CD drive worked perfectly. I'm also using one of the USB A ports for the little plug which came with my old wireless mouse, and it is also working great. So far, I'm very happy with this hub!
