Training tool that works!
This product has help define the dog my puppy has grown into. My puppy wasn't terrible at listening, but often was more distracted at what was going on around us when we were outside. It helped grab his attention and keep him focused on my instructions. I live where there are wild animals, cars, snakes and plenty of other things that could potentially hurt a curious pup. This has helped keep him from harm, that my voice alone would not have many times over. It may be a bit pricey but the durability and the quality speak for itself. As long as you keep an eye on the battery and use it as its intended it works great. I did buy some other collars to attach this to, to get the fit just right. I am very thankful for this product and my dog truly loves to wear it. Most of the time now I can just use a command without even using the collars features because he has it ingrained into him now. I never have to turn it up much and usually a quick buzz does the job.

Great training tool
Bought this after using another version of a dogtra ecollar and I love it! It works as it's supposed to and I like that it is expandable to two collars in case I get my boy a sibling. Love the colors but not a fan of the actual collar itself. The holes are too far apart and its either too tight or too loose. I ended up getting the low profile prongs for it because the original ones don't touch my dogs skin through his thicker husky-like hair and it works so much better with it and I know he is always getting stim whenever I use the remote. Using the different prongs also makes it looser on him so I don't feel like its choking him. Will probably poke my own hole in the collar or buy a different one at some point but it works for now.

Great teaching tool for dogs!
AWESOME for training disobedient pups! My trainer recommended this and I love it. My dog training has been a lot easier because of it and my dog is definitely learning faster while I'm using it.

Very Dangerous, DO NOT PURCHASE
I purchased the 1st model of this device back in July 2023. Love the unit and never had an issue until recently and I've had to send it to Dogtra twice to have repairs done. The 1st time the collar wouldn't turn on. This last time the remote would be fully charged and I would press the "nick" button and the battery would drop to 1 bar and the light would rapidly flash red. Press the "nick" button a 2nd time and the remote would be dead. Not sure why it worked great for a yr then the last month I've had 2 issues. I purchased the newer model with the Boost N Lock to have as a backup because we use the e-collar daily. I purchased this one on July 15th, delivered on the 26th and it was dead so I charged it and used it for the 1st time on July 29th. Used it for an hr and it left a bad spot on my dogs neck. Amazon and Dogtra should be ashamed this device is being sold and can do irreparable harm to a dog. I called Dogtra but their customer service line was closed for the day, but u can guarantee im calling as soon as it's open tomorrow. Nobody buy this device and subject their loved one to this type of harm. I feel terrible a decision I made did this to my sweet boy. It seems Tom Davis cares more about what money he is making from Dogtra than to make sure a product he attaches his name and brand to is safe. The 1st model is a fantastic unit minus the last month due to the issues I've mentioned. I'll be at Bass Pro Shop as soon as the doors open and purchasing a Garmin e-collar.

My reactive dog can watch dogs pass her fence without yelling at them
I love almost everything about this collar. My dog had a rough first 2 years of her life, from an abusive first owner to an entire year in the shelter before I found her. We have faced some challenges in the year and a half she’s been with me. She’s been aggressive toward people walking along the street while she’s in the fenced in backyard. I muzzle trained her because I was so concerned she would bite somebody. Last summer she was terrified of fireworks. I followed guidance from trainers recommending no aversive measures and she just got worse. The final straw was when she escaped three different times inside a month and found the $350 show chickens down the street. Thankfully the chickens have a high fence she hasn’t figured out how to get around, so no birds were harmed. I hunted for any means to improve her training and found Tom Davis’s YouTube channel. I like his training style and very much respect how he explains e-collars, so I decided to give it a try.In just over 2 months, I now have a dog who will recall off a squirrel or dogs walking past her fence. Passing walkers and dogs might get a growl and a bark, but she comes back to me before I even call her half of the time now. Somehow, I also do not have a dog afraid of going outside in the evenings even though fireworks were just as brutal this year as they were last year. This collar works exactly as Dogtra and Tom Davis describe. The remote is easy to use. I have my dog on a 4 setting with a boost of 4 (meaning a setting of 8 when boosted) which I do still need when dogs take us by surprise. The only thing I don’t like is the collar. I thought I would like the easy elastic collar, but it’s a pain to put on for a squirmy dog. I still can’t get her to sit still! I recently switched the collar out for a regular buckle, and with the size of her neck I like it better. The stretchy ties were really too long for my girl, but her big pitty head (and squirminess) made it so that shortening them wouldn’t have worked. I can see it working better on much larger dogs.
