I ama maintenance guy for an apartment complex. I have to work very hard and everything that makes my job a little easier is great. I use this tool for replacing sink strainers for kitchen sinks. The functionality is great. It has a spring loaded arm that is always providing tension against the teeth your trying to grab onto. Also, I've had similar tools in the past and not only is this tool more durable, but it's length makes it awesome for working in confined spaces like under sinks.

Use with a secondary tool to hold the sink drain from the top.

On point, exactly as advertised. Good quality.

It is good for new installation, but not on removal or repair of an old one. First of all the handle holes don't work from the top, and if there is a tailpiece washer it will not fit without modification, and you need to drill new holes in the handle higher than center to get a grip on it to remove the old strainer from the top. I would not recommend this for a novice. So just bend the 4 strainer locking tabs a little with a pair of channel locks, not much, just a tight squeeze on both sides, and then it fits perfect. Then drill new holes same size 1/2 way higher than center from the factory holes for the handle. It will work great then! Thank you very much!
