Amazing sharpener but what’s with the ripoff price
The retail price of this sharpener is €349 incl the tax. So how this seller thinks £802 is anything but a straight ripoff is beyond me.The sharpener itself is fantastic and by far the easiest I’ve ever used. Much quicker than using multiple whetstones.

Good for medium sized knives, not good for large or small knives.
I bought this because someone just gifted me a Japanese knife which has a 15 degree angle, which is different to all of my other 20 degree knives. This sharpener will indeed sharpen both 15 and 20 degree knives which is the principal reason I purchased it.The gearing is a good idea as it turns the grinding stones faster than you roll it.For medium sized knives this is a really good sharpener. However for smaller knives, you have set the knife higher up so that the edge of the knife is higher than the magnetic block. Unfortunately, the magnet in the block is not strong enough, and smaller knives slip down the block. So not brilliant for small knives.Larger knives have a different problem - the magnetic block is fairly small compared to a long knife and as you roll the stone along the knife, the knife flexes, which makes it very difficult to apply equal pressure along the length of the knife. So not brilliant for larger knives either! If you only have medium sized knives to sharpen, and they are 15 or 20 degrees, then this is a good choice. Otherwise, maybe look elsewhere.
