Great earbuds, flexible controls. Just don't lose them on a flight....
Great sound, good & useful app. I bought them primarily for long airplane flights. Jet engine noise is not unbearably loud, but it's constant for 7-8 hours, which is wearing. I'd rather be listening to music—and only music. The "Noise Cancelling" setting reduces the engine noise to distant background. The "Normal" setting turns on the earbuds' microphones to simulate a normal noise level (conversation, etc.) as though you didn't have earbuds in your ears, but note: they're mikes, so they pick up the noise of wind blowing across them (something your ears don't do). This isn't a problem in an airplane, but it may be one outdoors. "Transparency Mode" amplifies ambient sound, making it a bit louder and clearer—perhaps good for those who need a bit of help hearing (though it's not "hearing aid" mode). The app has a "HearID" function which "maps your personal hering sensitivity at multiple frequencies and ...creates a personalized sound profile for you." Control (Volume, Next, Play/Pause, sound mode) is either by the app, or by tapping the earbuds. You can set up the tap controls as you prefer: one tap on the right earbud for this, two taps for that, etc. A caution: like most earbuds, these are tiny devices easily fumbled, dropped and lost; and the handsome case is as smooth and slippery as a wet bar of soap. I lost my first pair, in the case, on a flight. They were never found/returned. (Some airlines now advise passengers not to spend time hunting for "dropped items," but to ask a flight attendant for assistance. Good luck!) I don't begrudge the plane-cleaning staff the pleasure they may gain from all the earbuds they discover during their work.

BUY! BUY! BUY!
Do yourself a huge favor and BUY THESE NOW!! I am a former AirPod and Bose owner and so my expectations for these earbuds were pretty high for sound quality, noise cancellation, most importantly battery life. So I thought who better to ask for a recommendation than Google Gemini? These were the 2nd paid on the list, so I did a deep dive into the reviews after seeing the $40 price and decided to order them fully anticipating they would be a fail like the SkullCandy Dime 3 earbuds (garbàge). To say I am thrilled with these Soundcore Space A40 earbuds would be an understatement. The style is super low-profile, unlike bulky Bose and odd-shaped Airpods and they fit snuggly into the ear by including multiple size tips in the box. Active noise cancellation is on point! Baby crying? Gunshot? Boss nagging at you? Not when you have these in..zero outside noise whatsoever. Sound? Incredible! Deep Bass that does not get tinny when volume is at maximum and phone calls are clear as a bell. Max level is slightly lower than others but it’s definitely loud enough and crystal clear. Battery life was what my other 2 high-end pairs suffered from. 1 hour for Apple and 1.25 for Bose. I got to the point where I was carrying 2 separate charging cases with me and swapping them mid-workout which was annoying. Battery life on these? Chef’s Kiss! 2 hour+ workout no match for these gems! I ran out of energy before they did! Trust me, for Style, Sound Quality, Battery Life, and Price..these are the BEST earbuds on the market. And if you don’t believe me, just ask Gemini!

Great for the price but shape isn't my favorite
I think overall it is very good for the price as a workout type of earbuds. However, they don't really fit my ears perfectly even with the different tip sizes. Pros: - Good for the price and now even cheaper than when I got them. I think there were like $60-80 when I got them but now you can get them for $43 renewed which is just as good. - Fast charge time and long lasting battery. I barely have to charge them but it is also cause I don't use them everyday. When I used them everyday for the gym for around 2.5 hours with commute, I had to charge them maybe only 1-2 times per week. If they were at 0, I could spend like 30 minutes charging them and they would be good until I could charge them overnight. - Although not waterproof, the IPX rating is IPX4 which is good enough for the gym and maybe shower if that's your kind of thing ig. - The sound quality is alright but I have no comparison for other wireless earbuds so I can't really compare it Cons: - Not a good fit. This is probably just me but I have tried multiple ear tip sizes and none of them fit that well. They wouldn't fall out that easily unless I am sweating, but they still didn't create a seal in my ear which meant a lot of noise still went through. You may have better luck though. - IPX rating imo is too low. I feel like for earbuds they should be higher. I got these for the gym because I thought earbuds were lower profile but I started using my WHXM4s and they have the same IPX rating and also sound and cancel out noise better. They even feel better cause I don't have the anxiety of them falling out every minute I move. Overall I would say that they are good for the price, especially right now when they are super cheap but I would still recommend checking the current market for better earbuds. If you intend to use them for office or commuting, I think there are better choices for noise cancelling and audio quality. If you intend to use them for the gym (or running in the rain like I wanted to), there are ones that are more water resistant. I basically stopped using them outside of commuting and school because they are a lot smaller than my XM4s, but I would probably also use any other earbud over this if I could. If you are on a budget though, again I don't know if you can really beat this for $40

Excellent sound, fit, and ANC
These fit my ears better than any other ear buds I’ve tried (AirPods, Bose, Samsung “beans”). They easily sound as good as those brands but the experience is better. They stay in my ears - AirPods and Bose eventually fall out unless I push them back in every few minutes. The iOS app for these has a hearing test that adjusts the EQ based on your test results (which you can disable if you want). The sound quality is excellent and you can manually adjust the EQ if you’d rather do that yourself. The noise cancellation is as good as my Bose or AirPods. The case supports wireless charging (my Bose do not). The build quality is excellent- they don’t feel cheap. I would urge anyone to try these before spending $200 or more on something else.

Reduce noise up to 98%?... kinda
So I am a light sleeper with a partner that snores and I have sensory processing problems though they are a bit chunky they, for me they are just comfortable enough to sleep with. I got these (maybe against my better judgment) because the claim that they block up to 98% of noise. Which I guess is kind of true but it's not because of their active noise canceling that works about as well as the 18$ ear plugs I recently got. At best the ANC blocks MAYBE 32db which basically knocks down harsh tones and over all volume. As far as the 98% claim though a little deceptive it is true if you are playing music at the max safe volume level and have the earbuds on normal mode. That brings me to my next point. While music is playing ANC doesn't seem to work at all and ANC alone isn't particularly useful. Besides hearing sounds like your own breathing or jaw movement and foot steps normal mode is strangely better than the ANC. Besides that both transparency modes work very well and with some tinkering with sound profiles the earbuds sound great. The soundcore app that is used for these earbuds is just okay. It connects fine you can make custom audio profiles and change how the earbud controls work. Two problems with it though are that 1. The widget stops working properly regularly requiring opening the app to get the widget working again. 2. Disabling the earbud controls is a bit inconvenient. For the three control types you have to go to their respective menu and turn off that specific type individually. It would be much better if there were a button on the widget that disabled ALL controls at the same time. With those few problems aside these earbuds are surprisingly good for the price! I'd recommend them to anyone on a budget that is looking for great sound quality.

Excellent Connectivity
I had bought a number of SoundPeats versions of ear buds and they all sounded ok but one area I wanted better performance with dual source capable. I also wanted them to switch between sources seamlessly and also use it for my TV. The TV issue was what prompted me to look for some other brands including JBL, Samsung, and Tozo. None of them seemed to handle the transition from TV to cell call smoothly. Some units I would need to reset after a call came through. The other issue was with when my TV source first turned on, I had to accept the connection with my TV remote. Sometimes I would fat finger the connection request due to the poor design of the TV remote and then I needed to put the buds back into the charger case to reset it before I got another chance to connect to the TV. Some units did not even make the connection to the TV and I would not even get the acknowlegement from the TV set that it was waiting forthe bluetooth connection. I then read about the Anker and the reviews looked really good and the sound quality appeared better than these other brands. I ordered them with some hesitation but upon trial, the worked seamlessly. The transition between call to TV or vice versa was without fault. The initial connection request to TV came right up each time. Now it is not perfect, sometimes there might be a miss where the connection to the TV does not happen but it is infequent and acceptable. The battery life is excellent where I can listen for 12 hours without worrying about a charge. Sound quality is very very good and better than any of the other brands I used. I easily gave this 5 stars and would seriously buy another when the time comes.

Stereo Sound is amazing
I recommend every one should get a pair of this buds in their life time and listen to the true hi-fi stereo that the artist intended for you to hear...it is an amazing sound reproduction which i have not found from any maker out there in the market, not even the highend ones. If i have to compare, this would definitely be on the same if not higher level than the new Sony & Bose buds...which will cost you $200 plus easy. Thank you soundcore for making such a highend quality pieces with budget friendly for the commoners. Added features with noise cancelation is superior and not giving you the headaches if wearing for a long time, very comfortable for long listerning, most of all the sound which tailor to your specific hearing type... can't stretch enough...all in all, it is a must have ....

CAUTION! Bad luck with Refurb unit! Old firmware, won't update
These last for at least 8 hours, the ANC is great, the case is compact. Get the app for your phone--you can adjust various things, particularly the equalization curve. As an audio engineer, I hate the numerous brainless equalization curves, labelled with such meaningless terms as "Dance" or "Hip-Hop" or "Lounge" and so forth. No, you equalize for flatter bass, midrange, or treble. That's about it. And the app lets you adjust those things manually, fortunately. Other than that, great product. Aftermarket foam tips do a better job of sealing and minimize risk of falling out. Get these. UPDATE TWO MONTHS LATER: (1) Tried using them while running a lawn mower. Yes, the noise-reduction really does work. To my great surprise, the foam and regular tips were about equally effective. The foam might still be slightly better if they help to keep the buds in place. With my ears, not much difference as the tips don't go into the ear very far anyway, so foam doesn't make much difference. (2) The original buds had an issue--the right bud sometimes wouldn't recharge securely, resulting in a dead bud the next time I wanted to use them. I found that when you put each one in the case, the white light is supposed to come on for a few seconds, indicating a charging connection. The right bud was unreliable in this regard. I returned them, and the new set worked perfectly. (3) I liked them so much I bought a second set. I thought I'd save some money by buying Refurb. HUGE MISTAKE! The refurbs only updated to a version 4pointsomething, rather than 5.39 of the first set, and the noise reduction was lousy. Returned. I then bought another NEW set, which updated to the latest firmware, and the noise reduction was terrific, like the first set. (4) I discovered it makes a big difference to use the smartphone app to calibrate them to your particular hearing. The app actually performs a hearing test at several frequencies and creates a response curve. If you then use that curve as your reference, these things are amazingly well-balanced. So I'm issuing a caution about getting a refurb set which can't or won't update to the latest firmware version. But once you get a good set, they are terrific. ADDITIONAL NOTE: make sure when you put each one away for charging that the white light on the case comes on for a second or two, indicating contact. I discovered that my ear wax or oil or whatever would often prevent good contact, meaning that I needed to wipe the contacts down every time. Also, if you use the bud for so long that it goes completely dead, then when you put it in the case to charge the light will not come on. But after 5 minutes of charging, you can take the bud out and put it back in and then the light will come on as usual.
