It works so I can use my canner again
This pressure gauge worked very well during canning green beans. My husband replaced my old one with this one. At first I feared it wouldn’t reach pressure because there was water bubbling where it was attached to the lid but it dried up as it reached pressure and the jar lids sealed just fine. I’m happy with my new gauge and plan to do more canning!

Better than the one that came with my presto canner
I got a Presto pressure canner more than a year ago and finally started using it.It works great, but the pressure gauge leaked and steamed up under the clear cover. So I ordered one of these to replace it and it works perfectly, accurate reading, no leaking, no steamed up gauge.

Works great
I dropped my lid and broke the pressure gauge. I replaced it but the one I got didn't have a nut and all I could find was a zinc one which rusted horribly! I got this one to replace it. It came with a nut-so that was great. I also purchased a weighted one used it with the gauge and it was spot on for pressure.

cannot verify the accuracy
The 10 lb rocker started rocking at nine lbs on the dial... have no way of knowing which is accurate so only four stars

Works Perfectly
We have recently gotten into pressure cooking. My wife found a Pressure Cooker someone left on our community mail boxes. Never having used one she wanted to give it a try. We quickly found that they don’t work without a regulator so I had to get one of those first. Me being a typical guy I wanted to know what type of pressure we’re talking about and that was the reason behind purchasing the Presto Steam Gauge. As the temperature rose nothing appeared to be happening. It took quite a few minutes before pressure started to build, I guess the old expression a watched pot never boils is true. ha-ha The regulator finally started dancing at around 10 lbs. of pressure. We found 12 to13 lbs. is the magic number for best results, if it starts spinning then it’s too hot turn down the heat. This pressure gage works great; however, I was a little worried about the gasket seal. If you tighten it too much is will squirt out from behind the washer. Easy fix to this is just don’t tighten it too much and it seals just fine. ha-ha
