White Doorbells In The Night
This doorbell is an exact match for the one I am replacing. Our old door bell looks like it has been out in the sun for seven years because that is exactly what happened to it. The new white doorbell looks a lot better on our white house. Installation was a snap involving four tiny Philips head screws. The whole project was an easy success.

Replacement Garage Door Button (2 wire)
I couldn't find a review featuring this as a replacement garage door opener button (only as door bell buttons), so here I am. I won't speak to longevity, as I just sat down to review after installing it. If you have a 2 wire garage door button gone bad then this will work for you. There aren't instructions in the box, so for those who need some tips: hot wire shouldn't matter where it gets installed, as you're just completing a connection when you depress the button. On the back of the unit you'll see two Phillips screws that you'll loosen. This allows the circuit board to loosen. Then you'll take the original wires (that should already be bent in a 'U') and hook them underneath the circuit board and around the screws, then retighten the Phillips screws. This unit is meant to be a doorbell button, so naturally the wires would be concealed back behind the unit where they chase down into the mounting surface (i.e. the wall). So you'll have to cut a little hole for the wires to come out of the top. I used the Park Tool ZP-5 flush cutters, and they did a hell of a job making a nice even opening (even if you're not a bike mechanic, you need these for your drawer). Secure it to the wall afterwards and you're good to go.

Good value
Very good value for the price. Holes matched a much older look alike item. Will agree with others that the screws are cheaply made.
