100% pure win as far as a modern update to a classic design goes.... Cold Steel has been Hit or Miss over the years with it's line of " reimagined classics " .... this one is a perfect replica of my grandfathers knife, with better materials. ATOM splitting sharp out of the box.... I love everything about it and I'm NOT a classic style knife guy usually.....which is why I buy Cold Steel.

Was curious to see how Cold Steel would handle a classic slipjoint knife, and honestly, it's not put together as well as some of their other offerings. The bone handle is nice, but the pins are slightly raised and could have used a finer finish. The clip point blade was very sharp out of the package, but the spey blade needed some work. Would have preferred a more snappy action when opening the knife, but that's more of a matter of personal preference. Overall, for this price, it's a good take on a classic pattern, and a very attractive pocket knife overall.

Nice knife, super sharp, unlike Case. I used it to cut1/4" thick cardboard for a new shower. It cut through like it was hot butter.

The fit and finish are excellent. Very sharp right out of the box. I love the yellow scales. It’s a good pocket knife if you don’t use it as a wrecking Bar and with minimal maintenance you should have this for years to come. Remember this is a SLIP JOINT pocket knife.

This is a decent knife for a made in china

I just bought one of these mini trappers at a local store for about the same price and the knives is handsome and appears to be well made. Blades are very shop out of the box and snap shut securely. The fit on the blades is tight but will probably loosen over time. No worries about the blades accidentally coming out. Would recommend this knife based on my recent purchase.
