I've had the product for two summers it works great on every bug .but flies.

At first when I hung this and plugged it in I didn't think it was working very well I would check the little door at the bottom of it to clean it out and I would hardly see anything in it. I had a real bad fruit fly or something in that aspect infestation in my house and I was having trouble with every product I had getting rid of them but after a while of just leaving this product plugged in they were all gone every once in a while you can hear a little crackle of it frying a little bug insect fly mosquito this thing has pretty much killed off any flying object that has gone into my house if you are having an issue with any type of insect purchase this thing it works amazing They fly into it they get zapped and if it's a fruit fly or a nap it pretty much disintegrates them

Just What I Need!

I live on a peninsula in Texas .. we have mosquitos! I had a different unit that went out after 2 years and needed to replace it. My old unit worked wonderfully, (night and day,) but the bulb was not replaceable so I thought I'd get a more powerful unit with a replaceable bulb .. This unit was comapartively priced! It works pretty good at night but not effective during the day (I use it indoors only) I open to clean it and it does have dead mosquitos but it also has "live" bugs and mosquitos that fly off the minute its opened. My old unit would trap 50-60 mosquitos a day and kill them .. This unit I find a dozen dead bugs and about as many that fly off not killed. I see mosquitos in the house during my day, in the same room and it does not attract them .. I was going to return it but was busy and I missed the return date by a couple days. I would not recommend it .. it worked fine on other bugs but not too great with mosquitoes!! I was going to replace the bulbs, but they are only $3 less than buying a whole new unit

My last one lasted over a year. We will see how long this one last.

I ordered this bug zapper to be used indoors. what I like most about this zapper is the fact that I am able to open the bottom of it to clean out and remove all of the dead bugs that this has Zapped and killed. I have pleased this near my indoor plants, to help keep control of any little flying insects. I like that it doesn't make too much of a loud zapping sound that I have heard from other traditional style bug zappers. this one is less of a noise maker. easy to use right out of the box basically just plug it in and turn it on. but I do like that this has and on and off switch or button as I have found some others are just on once you plug them into the power source. this works well for what I have needed it for, I did read that some of the other users have experienced risk of Fire, concerns me but so far I do not feel I have a concern about this unit. however with that said I make sure that it is not left on and left on unattended for any length of time or period stretch that might allow issues easy clean out and easy cleanup on my favorite things about this zapper. so far so good I highly recommend considering this supper if you are battling similar issues with unwanted flying insects
