Ive had this lock for many years now, it has withstood a few attempts at it by the local tea leafs, this lock along with an abus hasp (not the mega expensive one, I think it was £30-40) withstood long armed bolt crops and fair sized crow bar, from the footage I have of them trying to get past it was around 25 minutes of trying, so well worth it to lock up anything you need.

This padlock feels like it's carved out of a single piece of steel; it's that heavy. This was my third one -- I was happy enough with the first two that I replaced the final old Master lock with another one of these. The opening and closing action is easy, the cylinder feels well-made, and after a year of use in harsh coastal weather conditions, none of the three have given me any problems, and I've yet to lubricate any of them.I don't believe any thief has given my locks ago, so no feedback on that -- I assume the combination of two of these padlocks on two heavy-duty Abus latches is beyond the capability of the average loser with a screwdriver. Be aware that the shackle is a separate piece, so once you open the lock you'll have the shackle in one hand and the body of the lock in the other.

Worth the money, very strong

I bought this to secure my motorbike. It's a very beefy sturdy padlock, well protected for outdoor use. Good value for money. Highly recommended.

When i bought this i thought that i was perhaps being silly, spending quite so much money on a padlock, but when you read the spec of it, let alone when you feel how weighty and unyielding it is, you know that your money has been well spent. A very impressive bit of kit.

The Abus 37RK 80 Granit is one solid shrouded padlock. If you demand and deserve security, this is as best as it gets. The key insertion is really smooth, offers no disc detainer pick feedback and is rather safe to say. Buy it now.

This is a proper solid and heavy padlock, just the one criticism that it does not have much room to secure a chain if that chain cannot be linked together. (both links into the padlock).

I've had one of these for 16 years and it's still working perfectly.The first 5 years were used outside and since then indoors.Expensive but you get what you pay for, over 16 years it's been good value.I've just taken delivery of an additional one.
