Allows me to use full Photoshop in a device not moucher bigger then my smartphone
I am writing this from the perspective of a gadget geek. I have had many innovative mobile computers, including Viliv, OQO & Vaio, the GPD absolutely delivers in terms of build quality. The build fit and finish are on the level of high end models such as Surface Book, MacBook Air. The Screen is liquidy smooth, it’s better then full HD screen can be viewed from any angle , with a super responsive touchscreen . NOTE.. I purchased an Adonit Pocket Stylus , that is very accurate and effective , the GPD dosnt officially have a stylus , but the Adonit like a wacom or surface pen , connects using some clever bluetooth, although their is no setup it just works. I am a designer and rely on adobe creative suite, especially Photoshop, this works fine and Inwas surprised that it’s as fast as when using it on my Surface GO with 8gb ram. One of the massive selling points for me , is that the screen goes almost horizontal which allows me to hold is like a tablet with the bottom half being the full keyboard . The keyboard, I find is very firm , their is not the spongy feel that sometimes plagues small keyboards , the only thing i wish it had was a backlight . This device is the perfect balance between portability and useability, the micro SD card is useful as is the 2 full usb . You should know , that images , videos reviews do not do this device justice, you really need to hold it in your hand , spend time with it, this device you will not find in any pcworld , curry’s or argos, it’s truly a game changer at this price, and even 4gb is more then adequate for this device , the ability to turn the fan off or on with the press of a button is original also. One last thing, the scroll button , well what can I say, it is extremely easy to use and is accurate and dare I say better then the regular touch pads found on other notebooks, it may be becuase it only needs to move around a 7 inch screen, but nevertheless less it’s a joy to use , of course you can always install a USB Mouse or bluetooth one if that’s your preference . I once paid £2,000 for a vaio UX1, that was back in 2009 , This is the modern day equivalent of a ultra mobile pc, I really would have expected this to be in that £1,000 range based on the notebooks that are available . This is a dream for those who like to have the creative power of a full pc with them when they are out, it’s ideal for photographers, creative people who are away from the office, it is one o the best devices I’ve purchased in the last few years.

Handy If You Have Use For It
This is a handy little item to have, something which I thought I might use regularly however haven't used this hardly at all. That's me personally though. The item is just as described, it's not the fastest of computers however this is just a little laptop for light work here and there for but it's perfectly fine for. The more technically minded among us can probably find better use for this device, there are some modifications which can be made to it to make it a little better also. I did find my device got quite hot regularly therefore I took apart and added new thermal compound as the existing one was really bad and crumbly. This majorly improved the heat dissipation and I would recommend doing, there are videos and guides online showing how. I also find that the Wi-Fi on my device is pretty terrible, the speed is incredibly slow unless it's at exactly next to the Wi-Fi router. This is the same on any Wi-Fi connection, I improved this slightly by adding some rubber insulator tape against the chassis of the case on the inside so the case was not touching the Wi-Fi antenna connector. if you are planning to use the device for downloading and you have this issue then this will be a big problem for you however if just using for general browsing then it's just a minor hindrance. The internal storage space can quickly be filled therefore the use of an SD card is advisable, I use a decent high capacity SD card with this and keep it in permanently as the slot allows you to push the code in for enough for it to not protrude out the sides. This has been very useful in giving the ability to expand storage. Around a month then I attempted to do an update which completely messed up the touchscreen ability, the touchscreen was still working however it was in a completely different place from where I pressed my finger. With some research I was able to find the configuration files for the touchscreen and driver, however much to my surprise with numerous attempts these did not work... Simply made it touch in another place when I press to my finger on the screen, all in all it was around 1 inches which pretty much rendered the touchscreen useless. However with sound technical knowledge and programming skills I was able to adjust the configuration file and get this working, I share this online in multiple forums where are the people that reported they had this same issue. it was received well therefore I assume you're probably find it if you do have come across this issue and search online for a solution. Another issue I have found is with Windows update, like me your most likely find you have various issues with this and have to manually install some updates to get them to work. falling all if you have good technical knowledge this can be quite a useful mini computer, I purchased a nice little leather case separately which makes this a decent little setup to carry around in a small bag or big pocket. I'd recommend to anyone who has a use for such a device however if you're buying it somebody for the gimmick then you're most likely end up like me I'm thinking of putting it in a draw out of the way never to see the light of day again. It's very useful but hasn't been without it's problems.

Big chip in back corner edge
It took many hours to update. Seems to be alright for my needs. Upon opening I was disappointed to find cosmetic damage to the product. The outer edge had been chipped and the seller promises to discount me £15.

2nd Gen still not there....
Prime purchase arrived 24 hours late. Great kit, very impressed until I detached the power cable and the unit died, rebooted under power to find a window suggesting “no battery present” and despite much google and YouTube searching could find no assistance so I sent it back. Most disappointing.

You won't regret buying this.
Fantastic machine. Keyboard needs a while to get used to. Battery life very good. Looks very much like a miniature MacBook. It snugly fits into your jeans pocket. Screen is just out of this world! I'm a bit worried how long the 128gb eMMC will last, but it ought to be able to boot from the USB3 socket when that happens. It's starting to replace my 2013 MacBook air as a daily workhorse. Very much recommended. But watch some reviews on YouTube first to make sure what you're buying.
