I recently purchased a flower press from Etcokei, and I couldn't be happier with both the product and the customer service. The flower press itself is fantastic—sturdy, well-designed, and perfect for preserving my favorite blooms. What really stood out to me, though, was the exceptional customer service. I found this flower press very easy to use. The 2 end pieces made of plastic are sturdy, and the wool felts and cotton blotters are of good quality. The only reason I didn't vote 5 stars on "Easy to use" was because the 2 elastic bands are not the easiest to get on and off multiple times as you check in between bursts in the microwave to see if the flowers are dried sufficiently. They will also lose their elasticity at some point. For now they do provide a snug hold around all the end pieces and blotters. Perhaps one could get a new pair from the manufacturer after they lose their elasticity.

I took a dried flower craft class at a local farm last spring and the instructor used these. I immediately ordered one for myself and used it a couple of times a week through the end of autumn. It will not warp and provides beautiful results if you follow all but the heating instructions. In class, we heated one side for one minute, let it rest for a minute, flipped the unit over and heated for a second minute then rest 1 min, then flipped it again and heated it for a third minute. We let it cool for a couple of minutes before removing the leaves and flowers. I will say that this does not work with any plant materials thicker than about 1/4". I tried to dry a couple of zinnias and some black-eyed-susans and they were too thick in the center, but I did tons of leaves and queen anne's lace and flowers like daisies and petunias and cosmos, etc. All that being said, I doubt I'd be as happy with the results if I had tried to use it on my own and without the benefit of the instructor's experience, so I hope this info helps someone. It's definitely not a replacement for the more traditional methods of drying flowers, but it can produce some cute results quickly for projects like decoupage or pressed-glass ornaments, etc.

It gets the job done…. With that being said, the plastic pieces on the outside have warped with just a few uses.

My husband passed and I didn’t want to throw away all of the funeral flowers. I purchased this with a plan to make an art piece with the dried flowers. It took days of drying the flowers on and off to complete the job, but it kept my mind busy and focused on a goal. It was easy to use with great results. The kitchen had an odd vegetable smell while using the product. I highly recommend.

Great product, love the way it works!

This worked really well. Spraying the wool pads just a little if it's been a while since using is a good idea. I decided to try this with leaves and was very pleased with the results. Next step is to spray the leaves with acrylic to seal them a little. The leaves are very fragile so handle them carefully. My only issue is that the plastic outer plates warped and I'm not certain why. It still works, but hopefully they don't continue or they'll end up twisted.
