How to Draw Almost Every Animal: An Illustrated Sourcebook (Almost Everything)

Great, fun book.
My son and I love this. We each pick an animal to draw and then compare who has done the best one. He's 9 and very competitive. I am currently winning as I draw an awesome otter. He keeps picking difficult animals like wolves. He's getting much better though. This is actually a great, fun book. I can't draw for peanuts but can now draw a decent otter. I am so pleased with myself I doodle it on everything now, but mostly on my meeting notes at work!

Great book for children
I bought this for my god daughter and she loved it! the step by step guide to how to draw animals were really well done and easy to follow. My god daughter said she liked that the drawings didn't look like a computer had made them.I would recommend this book

Brilliant book - not just for kids
I love this book, I'm not very talented at drawing but this book really helps to break down the steps to create basic animals - to create something recognisable. Its fun and I find it very relaxing to sit and doodle animals.

Good book for animal lovers
Got it in a package deal with the other 2 books, not liking it as much at the other 2 cause I am not a huge animal fan

Fun and relaxing
Bought this for my 8 year old son. He said he likes the scruffy style of the drawings. And they make a change from other drawing books, where you must copy lots and lots of ovals and lines (which can be great), but which sometimes become complicated and lead to copying the end picture straight off! However, this book guides from a single first line, through simple progression, to a charming simplified 'non-perfectionistic' little sketch, which is refreshing. My son was a little disappointed some of the animals don't have step-sequence instructions.A logistical and very frustrating flaw I feel, is that the book is not ring-bound. As it is, the child has to literally wrestle the book to stay open while they draw. I found my son standing on it, to try and flatten and condition the book to stay open at the right pages whilst drawing from them.I hold it open now while he draws. Being ring-bound would make the book so much better to use .Other than this, it is a fun, charming book which gives child confidence in succeeding to draw something simple, and scruffy :)

Instructive.
I believe this book is for children rather than adults, and would aid there drawing skills.
