Just what I needed
As an aerospace engineer working for a company that manufactured aircraft environmental control systems, I spent a lot of time working with various refrigeration equipment, mostly in lab and manufacturing settings.I had a cheap set of gauges I had purchased for personal use, and the hoses were pretty low end. A friend asked me to help with some low temp refrigeration systems and I knew that was a bad recipe, so I purchased these and they were perfect. The ball valves make it easy to control what you're doing and not end up with hoses full of liquid refrigerant. At times it would have been nice to have a little smaller valve, so I can imagine that you might want a different set for working on some equipment, but I managed on all the equipment I touched with them. The hoses themselves seemed quite robust. 100% pleased. I think if you were doing this every day you would be in good shape with these.

Great set of hoses.
I really like these hoses. I like them better that the schrader type low loss hoses because, when the system is close to charged. I can shut down the high side and tank valves, and dump what in the hoses in the system. If it's still a little low, I can just open them back up and add more. Without disconnecting and reconnecting the hoses. No quality issues. They are great hoses so far. I will update if they develop any premature leaks or burst.

Only hoses you’ll ever need
Yellow jacket hoses are the way to go. Other brands such as hilmer are good as well but at the end of the day you can’t beat yellow jacket. As long as you change your seals every once in a while these hoses will give you years of use

Yellow Jacket - always a great product
I purchased the YJ 29985 Plus II 60" Hose set with the coveted ball valve ends from Amazon. I had an issue with the blue hose upon use but was immediately replaced by the seller. No further issues on the BYR hoses and i used them everyday with my SMAN 3. No other complaint so far as usage goes.

quality hoses
I am a transit bus HVAC tech and these hoses work well in my application. The ball valves work well for isolating and moving refrigerant. I replace my manifold gauge hoses every two years and these have been my choice.

Very Good Buy
Currently enrolled in school for HVAC/R and a friend of mine bought these and I've had the pleasure of using them and just bought a set for myself. These work better as low loss than an actual low loss fitting. I can also shut off the high side at the ball valve and pull the refrigerant that is in my lines back in to the unit for very little refrigerant loss when I hook up to a unit now without disconnecting my high side with a low loss.

Buy these, they are awesome. Waaay better than no-loss fittings.
Awesome hoses. Was a little worried about getting these into tight places, so far no problems. You do have to rotate your cylinder a little inside the cardboard box to hook up the yellow hose, no big deal. Now I can throttle or turn off the yellow hose without removing the cylinder from my scale, very handy. No restriction when evacuating, unlike no-loss fittings. Way easier to use than the adapter ball valves, I have a set of those too, there just are too many connections to come loose.

As all Yellow Jacket products, high quality.
You get what you pay for when it comes to hoses and these ball valved hoses are worth the money! Very well easy sealing ends, easy turn ball valves so you do not frost bite your fingers and loose the fridge. Buy yourself the CPS high quality manifold guages, or Fieldpiece (if you have the money!), and you will have the best guage sets on the market with the best hoses that I have ever used - period!
