We ended up using the whole bottle but couldn't get rid of any fleas. It smells like a room freshener... can't vouch for its job though.

Although we de-flea our cat without fail at the beginning of every month, we have recently been getting bitten by fleas. I have boiled washed all bedding & towels and done all the necessary precautions but still noticed we were being bitten. I decided to buy 3 tins of this and have now sprayed everywhere. You need to use this in a well ventilated room which can be difficult with the weather being so cold lately but I opened the windows and closed all the doors (doing one room at a time) and the smell is pretty potent to be honest. I then left each room for an hour and went back in. I could still smell the spray but it was not as strong. This has helped hugely and very quickly noticed that we have stopped being bitten. There are warnings on the tin not to use it on your bedding (my first reaction was to spray the mattresses) so I am glad I read the tin first. I probably only needed one tin and did go a bit overboard but it is so unpleasant being bitten that I wanted to make sure I got rid of all of them. Sadly my cat is a keen night hunter and is always out and about so this may happen again. At least I am well prepared and will do this again in a few weeks. The tin states that it kills fleas on contact as well as the eggs. I will update this should this not be the case but for now I am happy to recommend it and it does certainly smell like it will work :-) UPDATE***** YES thank goodness this works, I am happy to say this works. It is a nasty thing to get fleas in the house and so happy that we are now finally free of fleas (bit of a tongue twister :-)) so this works and I highly recommend it.

This item came nice and quick, it works very well at keeping the Fleas down. I use it to spray on the Dog and Cat Beds after they have been washed, it's ok for the Dig etc to sit on after It's been sprayed. I noticed that somebody had opened the Parcel before I got to open it (not the sellers fault) there was nothing valuable in it luckily, so I hope whoever opened it up before me got really disappointed in finding it was Flea Spray and nothing that they could steal! ha!ha!. Very pleased with the Spray :)

The good news: These work with other products The bad news: You still need to get other products too and do a lot of vacuuming. If you have a very bad infestation you have to contact the council or an exterminator. You can't get rid of a bad flea infestation using products designed for home use. I know none of us want to hear that but that's how it is. Now, for this product: It helped in conjunction with other products. The infestation I had in my house was not severe but I had seen a few critters and kept getting bites. I have no pets, so I can only assume the people who rented our house before us left us a nasty surprise to deal with. Initially we just vacuumed and sprayed a couple of times but this did not get rid of the fleas. Then we resorted to using multiple products (mainly sprays and powders specifically designed for flea treating). We vacuumed the whole house, including from under furniture, 3-5 times a week for 3 weeks. Before vacuuming we spread powder and sprayed. This seemed to work, but we spent a fortune on powders and sprays - so if I could go back in time I'd just contact the council. No single treatment with a single spray did the job, we had to use multiple products and repeat the treatment multiple times. I hate to tell you this but there is no quick fix to your problem.
