Does what I'd does. It's holding back a 80lb lift gate on the overland trailer. Been through rough terrain and it still holding well

There is more thread and adjustment you could use, but it runs into the padlock hole, so while this is adjustable it is limited. With that said, it works great.

These are very good. Just make sure you buy the right size for the load you put on them. These are strong except if your use case has a high twisting force. Then you need stronger clamps. These did the trick.
