Sometimes difficult to attach cable to needle.

This is my second set of these, love them! Splurged out for this set when I started having multiple projects on my needles. I travel a lot so I have different types and sizes of projects ongoing. I loved my original set, so I knew that I could depend on the Addi set to meet my needs. I love the smooth joins and the fact that I can depend on the joins to hold no matter where my knitting bag is thrown! Love the new case, my old one is starting to look a little worn after all of its use and abuse!

I assumed that I disliked addi needles because of the set I bought here. I played with another set at my local yarn shop, and they were much smoother, the join was better, and overall the needles were just nicer and sharper.For these, the spring in the join feels like it isn’t present in a lot of the needles, meaning the join doesn’t feel very secure. In addition, the join between needle and cable is much sharper and noticeable over the set I purchased at my local shop. The size 10 needle simply didn’t work at all, and the cable wouldn’t fit into the needle.Also, my set from here didn’t come with all the papers and the packing slip of who packed my box like the LYS set did (like who at addi prepped and checked over my set).Not sure if that means these are fake or just a return/defective set, but I’m leaning towards fake because Amazon is riddled with fakes and the price is “too good to be true.”I’d never have known the difference if I hadn’t gotten a set from my LYS to compare. So buyer beware.

Addi is the leader in producing needles that fit all occasions. These click shorties are perfect for knitting in the round particularly sleeves. Safes time by doing away with the magic loop system which takes time. Highly recommend the Addi click system as I have never had the cables come off the needle and they are easy to join.

I prefer short needles. These are great. My only complaint is sometimes (yarn overs) the yarn gets caught where the needle and cord connect. This happens on all clicks though.

I was thrilled at the utility of having a set of interchangeable Addi needles, but after a few months the honeymoon wore off.The connection does slip off now more that when I started knitting, it is as it the 16” cable attachment fitting it worn. The thing falls of when casting on stitches!Second the cables have “memory” and when making light weight fabrics the cables retain the 2-3 loops from storage.I have switched to Chiagoo circular needles now and will keep the Addi as an emergency backup set. If you are a serious knitter or plan to buy supplies like this once to last, this might not be the product for you. If you are a novice and just learning, these needles will be fine until you outgrow them.

I have the original Addi click turbo needles which I've have around 8 years now so when I stumbled upon these shorter needles I had to have them. They are my new favorite. I'm currently knitting a beanie and knitting on the shortest cord length makes this a dream. Just like the other Addi set they are smooth and the joints are smooth. I also have the whole set of Addi crochet hooks too which are my favorite hooks. I guess I'm an Addi addict. :)

The needles are wonderful- short and slick. The cable lengths included are very flexible. Yet- the cables are not so great at staying in the needles. I’ve had them a couple of days and already had to scrap a project that was almost done (no patience to rescue it- so I ripped it all back).There’s little rubber mats in the kit that allegedly help to get the needles more tightly on the cables- but I didn’t notice a difference.Other brands have a locking mechanism. I’m in the process of ordering a new set of the other brand now.
