24 hours hot
Not sure why we have to spend $50 to get a thermos that performs the same as the thermos' under $10 did a while ago. Not new technology, I guess everything is just made half-as#$d now and were expected to live with it.Regardless though, on the outside this is a better quality and better made thermos than most. It's components (the lid, the stopper, etc) are up-scaled as well. It definitely looks well made. It's also heavier than other thermos'. Idk how much difference that makes but it doesn't have the cheap feel that so many things do now-a-days.Performance wise, I only use it for hot coffee, nothing cold. I preheat the thermos with hot tap water (about 140 degrees) for 5-10 minutes before filling with hot coffee. The thermos then goes into a backpack which stays at a room temp of about 70-75 degrees. I tested the thermos for the 12 hours that I normally need and the coffee was still very hot. Certainly satisfying enough for me and I like my coffee fairly hot.I also tested at 18 and 24 hours just because, and yes the coffee is still hotter than warm. At that point, the coffee is at a temp that still has some steam but is easily drinkable and immediately becomes only warm if you add cold milk or cream to it. It also gets cold pretty fast so idk if that is what some people consider actually "hot". Also, since I don't work or travel in a cold environment I can't comment on it's performance if left in a cold car or truck well into a shift.I bought the Thermos through Amazon Warehouse for about 1/2 of it's current price of $50. For the price I paid, I'm happy. If it lasts like some of my Stanley Thermos' from the old days I'll be very, very happy.I do wish it held more than 25 ounces but given the way that it is made, a larger capacity thermos would be huge and very heavy even empty. So if you don't mind spending a significant chunk of change on a thermos and want enough coffee/tea/etc for a one time refill of your large Yeti/RTIC/Ozark trails tumbler than this should suit your needs.

Heavier than you might think
I make my own coffee, and I take it with me every working morning. I have had many different vacuum bottles, and they have all been pretty bad in their own way. However, this is unlike anything I have had. I first bought the 1.4 qt. version, and it was just too big, and heavy, for that matter. I now have the 25 oz. version, and its perfect for me. I preheat, so that helps. I am usually done drinking coffee by lunch, and this keeps it very hot. The cup is nice and heavy, and it has a rubber bottom that is nice. The machining on this thing is really nice. It doesn't seem to leak. Recommend.12/2021: I had this a fair bit of time now, and my original review stands. I was pre-heating it, but found it really didn't need it. The stopper is squeaky, but it's a silicone-type squeak, and I know it is sealing really well. I make my coffee about 0500, and I'm usually done drinking by 10/12. Sometimes I go past 1200, and when I do it is still pretty warm, not hot. I feel this is better than the standard model, and I feel it's worth the money.

Sturdy, and well insulated
Like this thermos a lot. Not the lightest but it is well built and seems like it will take camping abuse with stride. Love the fact that the top cover/cup is vacuum insulated too! The cup also has a small metal band around the top, which stays the temperature of what’s inside, so you can tell how hot your drink is BEFORE you burn your tongue - priceless! The thermos has keep hot water steaming hot for two days. It’s not as light or as big as the Zojirushi we also have (that’s 2l while this is 1.4l) but this will take more abuse. She gets that one, I’m keeping this one :)

Great thermal qualities
This will keep coffee hot all day. One morning I left it at home and when I got home 10 hours later it still was hot so I took a thermometer and measured 178 degrees. They market this to be strong and rugged but it is not. Every time you drop it will get dings on it. The coating on the other bottles they offer is far better. This coating will scratch every time it is dropped.

Worth every penny
I've been using a deadstock 1994 USA-Made Classic Stanley Thermos for the last year and, sadly, it started to rust on the bottom leaving stains on my countertop. Figuring that if it would do that in the base, it could be doing that inside too, I decided to order a new thermos and suspend my Made in the USA obsession. Looking at the reviews, I went with this Stanley Master Series and I can't be any more satisfied. First use today and my coffie was noticably warmer when I got to work than I was used to. The build quality is first-rate and beefy. I like that the cup is big enugh to actually serve as a coffee mug, instead of a shot glass, and the mouth is wide enough to make cleaning it out with a bottle brush a sinch compared to the smaller openings in the older thermos models. If I could change one thing about this thermos, I'd make it available in many colors besides black, especially that cool Stanley green,

Upset with this order.
My husband carried his first thermos every day for two years. It flew off trucks, was run over, took a beating as he works in the fields. He recently left his thermos at a well & lost it, so I ordered this bottle as a replacement. Unfortunately this bottle arrived chipped in multiple places. I love the Stanley brand but I was very excited to gift him this & now will be returning & waiting on a replacement. I expect better for the price of these bottles. We use Stanley cups for drinking, the thermos for himself & the tumbler for myself. The brand is amazing but I can’t believe there is another sticker on the bottom listed half the price & they shipped this. Unacceptable Amazon.
