Excellent, easy to use
Bought this to replace a blown adapter for an exercise bike. Once I had identified the end and the polarity required it was really easy to put the end on the adapter with right polarity (clear markings helped a lot) and get the bike working again. Much cheaper than a proprietary alternative.

Good value
it is a great gadget to have if you like us have lost cables or had cables break.

Not for audio
Wasted money on this one. Maplin original adapter is not what it used to be. I intended to use it for audio, but there is a high pitched whining noise that can be clearly heard. Might as well go for any noname adapter, result would be the same. Very disappointed.

Solid buy. Not perfect, but not bad.
Prior to buying this phone, I felt like I read a million reviews on a hundred websites for the few amount of dual sim phones that are available. This phone gets a much more mixed review on amazon.de and this almost led me to purchase a CECT chinese made phone but at the last minute I went for the Samsung (thinking on after sales service for any problems etc).To answer here what I had difficulties finding answers to myself:1) Both sims are active at the same time. One is primary and the other secondary. I misunderstood this at first and thought I had to toggle in order to send sims from one or the other. This isnt the case. Even if I am logged on primary sim 1, it is easy to send an sms or call from sim 2 with just an extra keypad tap or two (once you have written your sms or chosen your number, you have the option to choose sim.)2) I know when the caller has called sim 1 or 2 since the display screen confirms the sim accessed on the incoming call.3) Should you need to switch the sims around (make the other primary - though I havent yet discovered why I would need to do this), it is easy to do so in the main settings, although the phone does then restart itself.4) Speed. When two sims are in the phone, it does take longer to restart than with one. And of course two PINs are required. Longer but not unreasonable I find.5) The phone itself - if I wasnt looking for a dual sim phone at a reasonable price, from a well known brandname, I am not sure that I would choose this phone. The back is plastic, as the first reviewer here points out. I have never had a phone with a plastic back before. That felt a bit cheap at first.Having said that, whilst the phone isnt small, it is still stylish from the front view.Keypad lock -the keys are very responsive and I find it easy to get even beyond keypad lock accidentally.Battery life -this phone lasts me 3 to 5 days depending on usuage. I have the brightness dimmed and do not use the music features often, just calls and smses. I switch the phone off at night.SMS / text : Font seems huge! I have all this space, this large LCD and why am I having to scroll? Even the smallest font seems huge to me.Alarm - if you use your phone as your alarm: this phone is easy to inadvertently hit "off" rather than "snooze." This I have already found to my cost several times.Sound - I only ever owned motorola phones before. My experience of those were that I could make phone calls from train stations, and the receiver barely caught the background sound. My first call from a train station with this phone was significantly different. The person I called could not hear me at all, and I had to wait for the train to leave. Only a problem for you if you work in a train staion ...or on a building site.I come to this phone after ten years of Motorolas. I havent really preferred anything about Samsung yet, it has to be said. But then again, its not a bad experience. As a dual sim phone it does well and I am happy. I find the phone far more preferable than carrying two telephones around. I just wish there was more choice out there (at reasonable prices).
