Seems OK, but as it's a Martindale, it should be fine.
As title. A little smaller than I thought it would be (palm sized) but tbh, that isn't a problem for what I bought it for, as it takes up less space and the display is plenty big enough. I just received an update that this was on offer (considerably less than what I paid) and thought I'd give an update. Still a good meter, but would like to clarify that it is NOT AUTORANGING as the description says. Still a good meter, but you pretty much need to set the 'range' everytime you use it. I'm used to using a Fluke for measurements and a Martindale voltage indicator & proving unit to test HV for dead. In the electricity supply industry, a Martindale was/is the only 'approved' device for this. So as far as I am concerned, I don't doubt this little (albeit basic) meter will do what I need it for.

Brilliant Meter...
As a sound engineer this is by far one off the best meters I've used over the years. Easy to use, solidly build and excellent quality probes...

tried and tested happy with performance
fluke does more of the very low micro amps and lowers ranges testing, but for the price this unit not Bad. plus alot cheaper then fluke, this is important because I often leaving my tools in customer houses. my last martindale unit was left in customer house, they did not ring back to inform me to come and get it sad. Then i bought a cheap meter which a customer kept in their fault.

Solid little meter
I wanted a little test meter for testing low voltage circuits . I think there is a lot of Chinese imports that just aren’t worth buying , I am a retired electrician and Martindale is a name that has always been there . As a quality British manufacturer . Yes you can get a little test meter for under twenty pounds , but add another £20 pounds and buy this Martindale mm39 fully auto ranging test meter. It has a very solid feel , with quality test leads which is important when used for testing low voltage ac circuits , but also important when testing extra low voltage dc circuits which is primarily I purchased this meter for .

Paid the price for a good branded Meter won't see anything in the dark
No light on the display a must these days, l could have purchased two cheaper bigger Meter s for the cost of this one, with a light on display. I could not justify paying much more for the use l will get from the meter.

Good basic digital multimeter
Easy to set required mode and range. Small enough to fit in a jacket pocket when dealing with outside installations. Clear display which is plenty large enough.
