This battery will charge from dead to full in about 45 minutes which is crazy fast. However, because it is not an oem battery from HP it does not hold to the oem spec of almost 9 hours. This battery lasts for a maximum of 3 hours on a full charge. Now, I am running a large Bible software package and I run a few programs in the background, so I know that does not help, but for the $30 I paid for it for a 7 year old laptop to keep it running, I am not complaining one bit!

I followed all instructions for calibration with the hp assistant after installing a new hard drive and reloading windows, having also put in this new battery. It will not calibrate and the battery life is only 2 hours with the computer being on with no music, no video, just an open webpage of a recipe while I cooked. That makes it the worst battery life of any laptop I have ever owned. The price is great but now I will have to find another brand and hope it works properly. 2 hours doing nothing is not even going to allow me to watch a movie on a flight, disappointing! The tiny magnetic included screwdrivers were nice though.

The battery was a perfect fit and more affordable than I expected. It brought my old laptop back to life.
