Granted I just got this and it hasn't really had time to break yet, but first impressions are this thing is awesome! Part of that excitement is simply happy to finally have one. I do a lot of projects where it would be handy to know the force required to open/move something so I can size parts appropriately, install actuators/air cylinders, etc. with proper force, etc. This will do push or pull force with multiple different attachments that simply screw onto the top (my favorite is the hook for pull force). There is an extension for the attachments as well, if you need to get into tight spaces where the body of the gauge will not fit. It will measure in Newtons, Kilograms, Pounds, and Ounces. Change the unit of measurement with a quick press of the "UNIT" button. One of my favorite features is "PEAK". With this feature enabled ("P" is displayed on the top of the screen), the unit will hold the highest measured value on the screen. There is also a "Zero" button, basically like Tare on a general weight scale. There's a lot more settings I won't go into, but overall this is a great dynamometer. Feels solid. Great price and I'm happy with it.

It's a good quality force gauge, the peak measurement function works very well for measuring breakaway forces. It is accurate and has all the units you could want. Furthermore it comes with several different thread on adapters that all fit nicely in a solid blow molded case. The backlight means you can read it any time of day, and the screen has big letters with high contrast.

We needed this to verify pull forces on plug connectors at work and we even verified it's calibration in our lab before putting it to work. No issues, good build quality and very durable

This was really helpful for my daughters science fair project but I did NOT love the instructions that it came with. It was not as clear as I was hoping to figure out settings. The buttons are also pretty sensitive and if its in the box an dyou press down by accident on the outside of the box it will trigger the buttons and turn it on which makes a constant beeping sound that we could not identify for a while because we didn't realize it turned back on after we put it away. Otherwise seemed relatively accurate, easy for an 8 year old to use once the instructions were figured out.

Very handy tool for tuning mechanical equipment. The most useful feature is the ability to record the peak force. This peak value is quite reproducible and is easier to note than just the instantaneous value that can vary. Good build quality, many useful attachments included, comes in a handy plastic case. The display is easy to read. It lights up automatically when the measurement is made. Overall, a great instrument.

This is just what I needed for a school science experiment. It worked great for testing breaking strength of different fibers, and the "Peak" setting that displays the highest force is invaluable. I used it for several hours, and the battery is still at about half. It was totally worth it for the price.

Ok I was looking for a dynamometer to measure force application on controllers for consoles/PC and this thing popped up. The price was decent and I figured, what the heck I can try it. So I have access to an industrial tester of controllers and this one. Tested this one against the industrial tester, and it was within a reasonable margin of error (3-5%) which when you are talking grams of force, is not that great of an amount (if you were talking about kilograms, maybe it would be worse). The industrial tester showed 58 grams, this little tester showed 56.9 grams. That's pretty darn accurate. So so far far ... I like it and it will be pushing all my buttons.

I work for a company that test the pressure of the doors at the Amazon and this is the tool they want us using. It works well. It is easy to read, easy to use, durable and the size is not bad and has a nice storage. The accuracy seems right. Not sure how to test if it is wrong but seems durable.

I used this in my classroom to test the strength of bamboo skewer bridges to the fail point. This device performed as it should. I like how it records the peak value and you can switch between different units. Carrying case is good as well. The only thing that I modified was making a larger hook than the one provided in the kit. This works well whether pushing or pulling. It was very accurate and the kids had fun seeing if their bridge was stronger then their classmates bridges.

I needed this for a test and it worked very well. I only used it a few times and not sure about longer term durability but so far so good.
