advertising says 1000lm. It's only 500lm, says so right in packaging. Less bright than another one I bought that claimed 850lm. Quite disappointed. Will return. This is for the battery operated one.

These are great lights and really bright. I bought one and liked it so much I ordered a second one.

I love this light. it is bright and simple to use. It uses 4 AA batteries. the battery compartment is weather sealed. So why did it only 3 stars then? Becuase the description is still wrong despite me contacting the seller. It is only 500 Lumens and NOT 1000. It literally states it on the product box that is is 500 lumens. But with that said it is a good light for sure for a variety of things. I have used it for camping and black outs so far. I keep one in my truck for emergency. So as long as you know what you are getting as far as brightness, then go for it. But don't buy it thinking you are getting 1000 lumens.

Loved it so much I kept it for my car bag instead of giving it away.

Light is nice and bright but also compact. This will definitely come in handy
