Great little microphone!
I bought one of these to go with my desktop computer. The microphone is now mounted on my screen, using the sticky pad. I panicked initially thinking it hadn't been included, but found it lurking in the packaging. Seems to pick up sound very well, and works at a sensible distance from where I'm sitting. Inconspicuous and very good value. Recommend!

Nice little mic
Nice little mic. I am using it to fire off the off voice command on the HTPC.It does have a flashing blue led light inside the mesh bit, which is a bit annoying.I have yet to find a way to turn it off, and covering the light would be covering the microphone :(

Poor Quality Microphone
Kinobo - Mini "AKIRO" USB Microphone for Desktops : Skype / VOIP / Dictation Software Mic for Windows XP/Vista/7The low price and positive reviews lured me into purchasing this microphone. Delivery was prompt and all seemed well at first. After plugging it into my desktop computer I noticed that the sound recording volume was abnormally low, after looking around online I was under the impression that I was missing the necessary drivers. I went to their UK website, www.kinobo.co.uk (which is an unfinished wordpress site by the way) to look for any information regarding drivers. To my disappointment there was absolutely nothing of the sort. After some messing with the Windows microphone settings I managed to get the microphone to record at it's maximum value, which is still way below par by the way. Not to mention that now the audio quality was horrendous. Considering the good reviews, I assumed the worst and reported it as a defect and sent the product back for a refund, a few days later a new one arrived.Again, the exact same issue. Looks like I'll be sending this one back also. This does not necessarily mean this is a bad microphone, I am running Windows 10 and it may just not be compatible. Nevertheless, to market a "plug and use" piece of hardware and it not to work sufficiently is unacceptable and I would not recommend this product to any other Windows 10 user.

The cord sucks
the sound quality is good, but the cord sucks. I have have it plugged in to my PC's keyboard, and there I have to bend the wire to the right and keep it in place under my keyboards stand-off feet before the thing receives any power :( but at least it works...

Nice mic, shame about the software issues and lack of English instructions.
The media could not be loaded. The good: microphone is well made, a nice slight rubbery plastic feel to the outside with a large meshed area for the sound to be captured. The cable length is around a meter to a meter and a half long. The drivers pick up and load in about a minute. It comes with a strip of adhesive to stick it somewhere, ideally it would have come with a clothes clip though. The sound quality is good if held around an inch and a half from your mouth. Anything further away and it becomes quieter and closer it starts to distort. The bad: It says it comes with free software, well you need to guess what you are downloading, unless you can read Chinese, as the website they give you (on the back of the pack) is in Chinese. Google tries to translate it but can only translate text on the site and the 2 download buttons are images so Google can't translate that.Even after downloading, the files wouldn't install (Win 10), so who knows. I ended up using Windows own sound recorder which did the job instead. So if you have your own software already, then it's good to go, but if you are relying on the (Windows only) software from the website, good luck with that one.I bought it at a reduced price for an honest review. Please see the video for the issues I had, a shame but as it's honest, I just can't give it anything more than 3 stars. If you are selling an item in the UK, it needs English instructions and UK support.Did you find this review helpful? If so, please press the Yes or No button below. :)

Just the job at a good price
Surprisingly good for such a low price. I bought it to brush up on my French prior to a holiday in June. The mic works perfectly with my Rosetta Stone French course running on Windows 8.1 to which it is connected via usb, it was simply a case of plug and play. I also tried it using voice control of Windows and it again worked perfectly. That it can accurately transmit my less than perfect French accent and my colloquial West Midlands English is proof of it's efficiency. The only slight beef is the method of fixing the mic in position, in my case on top of the monitor screen. Kinobo supply double sided adhesive pads these do work but seem a little crude, doubtless it is one way Kinobo keep the cost down so can't be criticised too much. Surrounded by expensive hi tech equipment as it is I long for a shiny, fancy ingenious clamp that would fit in to it's surroundings better, but hey it's not a deal breaker. If like me you didn't want a state of the art hifi mic but just one that transmits your voice accurately then I recommend this without any reservation

Would be 5 stars if it had an on/off switch
Wish it has an on/off switch but other than that works great so far.

Fantastic little microphone.
I purchased this Kinobo Mini Microphone specifically because my built in laptop microphone was picking up too much noise. I needed something that could give me clear, clean conversations online without an other noise disturbance and this little microphone delivers that. It was exceptionally easy to use, plug in and it was ready, and it gives me the constant and consistent quality audio that I need to be able to speak to my clients online. I fully recommend buying this microphone and I would definitely buy it again if I had to replace mine.
