Got the job done at a fraction of the cost of other lab stores. And because of that, I don't feel bad being rough with it.

I got the inspiration to purchase this from Tim Giuffi's book: The Fresh-Milled Flour Bread Book. This has changed the way I mill my wheat and my bread is much closer to my ideal loaf (I still have a lot to learn!) This sieve is VERY well made and I know will be used for many years to come.

Unfortunately the bottom pan is larger than the sieves, so the sieve drops in the pan versus sitting on the rim. Disappointing…

This is a really nice sieve. Very strong and sturdy and I feel it will do me well for the last stage of sifting I need to do to remove impurities and breakup/homogenize ceramic glazes. The only problem I had with the sieve is that there was a depression in the otherwise taught mesh. It looked like someone had pushed their thumb into the mesh. Wonder if this happened at the Amazon warehouse by some curious ne'er do well or in logistics somewhere... I don't want to give them fewer star as a result of that since it appeared closer to the center of the sieve and doesn't seem to be a manufacturing defect.
