Very compact design.

This is great for forming a cutting edge on a roughed out long blade.

When you are hiking, ounces matter. This thing is very light but still does a good job sharing my knives. Make sure to set it on a flat spot and hold it in place as you draw the blade through. Is is just that easy to keep a knife sharp, without dragging around my other sharpeners.

Not as heavy as I assumed but that's not a negative. It's metal and not plastic like so many others. Sharpens small blades well. Great for the truck, backpack, etc.

Works but lost one of the blade inserts

this works and works well and fast but it does not last. the screws holding in the stones and metal stripped out within a couple weeks of use. granted im hard on items to test how reliable they are. this held up great to rough usage but the screws are a weak point in this item.
